Beau Is Afraid most reminds me of Synechdoche New York - mostly from the feeling I get, rather than any specific scene. But yes, almost certainly largely in his head. But it might make it work nonetheless.

Linoleum clearly joining it in the "Middle age white man has to deal with his life not being what he wanted, and learn how to be his true self" genre. But also looks uplifting.

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret - I haven't read the book, and I'm clearly not the target audience, but this looks quite entertaining.

Marlowe and Shaper both look like well-made Noirs, and it would be interesting to compare and contrast!
