I quite liked the very first one of this cycle of Planet of the Apes movies.

But the original movies formed a perfect time-travel cycle, and thus something that felt complete.

This series doesn't have that - it's entirely open-ended, and so doesn't feel like it's so much going somewhere as just extending the story indefinitely. And I'm not sure that "Yet More Apes" is a series that's going to keep adding value.
