I was surprised they were splitting Wicked in two, but the stage version is 2 and a half hours, so if they expand on the scenes at all (which they almost certainly would, if nothing else to show more scenery and incidental moments) then they're going to struggle to make a single movie out of it. I'm interested to see that they're bringing in more from the book, which has a very different feel to the musical.
