The Boss HD720p 46MB
R rated comedy about a titan of industry (Melissa McCarthy) who is sent to prison after she's caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America's latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget. Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal and Kathy Bates are also part of the cast. Again directed by McCarthy's husband Ben Falcone (Tammy), they also worked on the screenplay.
Midnight Special HD720p 82MB
Supernatural thriller about a father (Michael Shannon) who goes on the run to protect his young son (Jaeden Lieberher) and uncover the truth behind the boy's special powers. What starts as a race from religious extremists and local law enforcement quickly escalates to a nationwide manhunt involving the highest levels of the Federal Government. Also part of the cast are Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver and Sam Shepard. Written and directed by Jeff Nichols (Mud, Take Shelter, Shotgun Stories).
Not sure about the story, but the people involved make it interesting.
Gods of Egypt HD720p 80MB HD1080p 83MB
Action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt, in which the survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero Bek (Brenton Thwaites) undertakes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt's throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Chadwick Boseman, Courtney Eaton, Geoffrey Rush and Rufus Sewell are also part of the cast. Directed by Alex Proyas (Knowing, Dark City, I Robot).
Looks like another video game movie. And a bad one at that. Though I think that counts as a pleonasm.
Criminal Activities HD720p 19MB
Thriller in which four friends (Michael Pitt, Dan Stevens, Christopher Abbott, Rob Brown) stumble into a deal too good to refuse. But when the investment goes bad, they learn that part of their funding came from a notoriously ruthless crime boss (John Travolta) and it's payback time. Now, they must successfully kidnap a family member (Edi Gathegi) of a rival kingpin in order to erase the life-threatening debt. In way over their heads, if they can complete the assigned task without screwing up, they just might escape with their lives. Haley directorial debut of Jackie Earle Haley, who is also part of the cast.
Now in limited release in the US.
Fathers and Daughters HD720p 32MB
UK trailer for the latest melodrama directed by Gabriele Muccino (Seven Pounds, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Last Kiss). The film follows the relationship between Pulitzer winning novelist (Russell Crowe) and his daughter, Katie (Amanda Seyfried), and the effect of this relationship over a twenty year period. Moving back and forth between the 1980’s and present day, it shows Jake's struggle with his mental illness and raising Katie, and explores the ramifications of 30-year-old Katie’s troubled childhood. Diane Kruger, Aaron Paul and Bruce Greenwood are also part of the cast.
Feels a bit as if Nicholas Sparks might have been involved. While that's not the case, apparently Michael Bolton sings during the end credits. Available reviews aren't too kind.
