The Christophers     HD720p 28MB
Witty chamber drama about Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen) who was once a star of London’s 1960’s and 70’s pop art explosion, but he hasn’t painted in decades and has been broke for years. His two estranged children (James Corden, Jessica Gunning), desperate for an inheritance, hire an art restorer and former forger (Michaela Coel), to pose as a prospective assistant in order to access 8 unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in storage. Her plan is to complete them, then return them to storage, where they are to be “discovered” upon Julian’s death. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Contagion, Traffic, Haywire).

Normal     HD720p 26MB
Violent action comedy that pits a provisional sheriff (Bob Odenkirk) against his constituents. His provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a dark secret is inadvertently exposed, and Ulysses soon discovers that the town is anything but its namesake. Henry Winkler and Lena Headey are also part of the cast. Directed Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, High-Rise, Free Fire), written by Derek Kolstad who wrote the John Wick movies.
An earlier teaser: HD720p 16MB.

Rose of Nevada     HD720p 29MB
Mystery drama with horror elements set in a remote Cornish fishing village. Three decades ago, the Rose of Nevada vanished at sea, along with its crew. Now, it has returned. Its reappearance is embraced as an auspicious sign, with the local citizens convinced the luck of their economically devastated community may turn, if only the ship sails again. Joining the crew is Nick (George MacKay), desperate to provide for his young family, and Liam (Callum Turner), a mysterious drifter eager to escape his past. After a successful voyage, they return to harbor, only to find that nothing is as they remember it.
Not my preferred genre, but it received very favourable festival reviews.

Ghost Elephants     HD1080p 51MB
Trailer for the latest documentary by Werner Herzog (Encounters at the End of the World, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Grizzly Man). For a decade, Dr. Steve Boyes has been in search of a mysterious elusive herd of Ghost Elephants in the highlands of Angola, a wooded plateau - virtually uninhabited, but in size as large as England. He sets out with master trackers from Namibia, the best remaining in the world, but there is a deep underlying question: would it not be better to keep these gigantic elephants rather as a dream, as ghosts, as the White Whale, than finding them in reality?
Looks like another quintessential Herzog doc. Will start streaming on Disney+ and Hulu March 8th.

The Mandalorian and Grogu     HD720p 29MB
Trailer for another Star Wars spin-off movie. The generic summary still reads: Once a lone bounty hunter, Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his apprentice Grogu embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure. Sigourney Weaver will also be part of the cast, Jeremy Allen White and Martin Scorsese will lend their voices. Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book, The Lion King).
I had totally forgotten that there was already a short trailer last September. Also, the recent 30-second Superbowl spot that gives the feeling that this will be a Space Western: HD720p 9MB.

Toy Story 5     HD720p 34MB
Trailer for fifth installment of the animated franchise. Become acquainted with the new character Lilypad, a high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet (Greta Lee) that makes Buzz (Tim Allen), Woody (Tom Hanks), Jessie (Joan Cusack), and the rest of the gang’s jobs exponentially harder when they have to go head-to-head with the all-new threat to playtime. Also new to the voice cast are Craig Robinson as Atlas, a cheerful talking GPS hippo toy and Conan O’Brien as the toilet training tech toy, Smarty Pants. Co-directed by Andrew Stanton (WALL·E, John Carter, Finding Nemo) and McKenna Harris.
I hesitate to mention it, but I don't think I've seen any of the previous films.

Pressure     HD720p 33MB
Historical drama based on a stage play. In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, and with the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, the movie follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) and meteorologist Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) as they face an impossible choice - launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether. Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis are also part of the cast. Directed by Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai).

Redux Redux     Tlr1 HD720p 14MB    Tlr2 HD1080p 19MB
Indie multi-verse movie that garnered some favourable festival reviews. In an attempt to avenge her daughter’s death, Irene Kelly (Michaela McManus) travels through parallel universes, killing her daughter’s murderer over and over again. With each kill, she grows addicted to the revenge streak, putting her own humanity in jeopardy.
Now in limited release in the US. Two different, short trailers to choose from.

Rose     HD1080p 28MB
Austere drama filmed in black-and-white set in the early 17th century. Somewhere in Germany, a mysterious soldier (Sandra Hüller) arrives in an isolated Protestant village. Slight and modest by nature, his face disfigured by a scar, this stranger declares himself to be the heir of a long-abandoned farmstead and produces a document to support his claim to the suspicious villagers. With the passage of time, he overcomes their doubts and, proving himself to be a hard-working, God-fearing man, becomes a part of their community. However, his quest for acceptance is built on a bold-faced lie.
Another showcase for Hüller's talent. Movie currently takes part in the official competition at the Berlin Film Festival.

The Drama     HD720p 32MB
Interesting looking relationship drama about an engaged couple (Zendaya, Robert Pattinson) who is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. Mamoudou Athie and Alana Haim are also part to the cast. Written and directed by Norwegian Kristoffer Borgli (Sick of Myself, Dream Scenario).
An earlier teaser that's very good at keeping you guessing what is going on: HD720p 19MB.
IMDb informs me that this year Zendaya and Pattinson will star in three movies together, the other two being The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three.

Minions & Monsters     HD720p 31MB
First trailer for the third instalment of the Despicable Me spin-off. It's the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
Looks less funny than previous trailers.

Exit 8 - 8-ban deguchi     HD720p 29MB
Psychological horror thriller from Japan that follows a man trapped in an endless sterile subway passageway as he sets out to find Exit 8. The rules of his quest are simple: do not overlook anything out of the ordinary. If you discover an anomaly, turn back immediately. If you don’t, carry on. Then leave from Exit 8. But even a single oversight will send him back to the beginning. Will he ever reach his goal and escape this infinite corridor?
Despite apparently being based on a video game, seems well worth a look. Though you may think twice about watching it if you regularly walk alone in empty subway corridors.

Tow     HD720p 31MB
Uplifting drama based on a true story that follows Amanda Ogle (Rose Byrne), a woman living in her aging Toyota Camry on the streets of Seattle. When her car — her only lifeline — is stolen and impounded, she is thrust into a relentless legal battle against an indifferent system. What begins as a fight to reclaim her car evolves into a deeply human story of resilience, dignity, and the power of one woman’s voice in the face of systemic failure. Dominic Sessa, Demi Lovato, Octavia Spencer, Ariana DeBose, Simon Rex and Corbin Bernsen are also part of the cast.
Not that the path of the story is hard to guess, but the trailer already does seem to show a lot.

In the Blink of an Eye     HD720p 31MB
Sci-Fi drama with three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life. A Neanderthal family, displaced from their home, struggles to survive, protect the children, and use primitive tools. In the present day, a driven post-grad anthropologist (Rashida Jones) studying ancient proto-human remains, begins a relationship with a fellow student (Daveed Diggs). And two centuries later, on a spaceship bound for a distant planet, Coakley (Kate McKinnon) and a sentient onboard computer confront a disease afflicting the ship’s oxygen-producing plants. Directed by Andrew Stanton (WALL·E, John Carter, Finding Nemo).
Looks and feels very emotionally forced. Critics were not kind after its recent Sundance premiere. Will start streaming on Hulu/Disney+ February 27th.

The Devil Wears Prada 2     HD720p 19MB
First trailer for the sequel, twenty years after the first film. It follows Miranda Priestly's (Meryl Streep) struggle against Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst declining print media while Miranda nears retirement. Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci also return. Among the new cast additions are Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux and Lucy Liu. Again directed by David Frankel (Collateral Beauty, Hope Springs, Marley & Me).

Tuner     HD720p 26MB
Interesting looking crime thriller drama about a gifted young piano tuner (Leo Woodall), for whom his sensitive hearing is both a blessing and a curse. Together with his mentor (Dustin Hoffman), he travels around New York taking care of instruments that require his unique talent. This task compels the otherwise quiet Niki to interact with people, including Ruthie (Havana Rose Liu), to whom he finds himself immediately attracted. Events take a dangerous turn, when some dubious characters realize that Niki's gift could also be used to open safes. Directed by Daniel Roher (Navalny).

Masters of the Universe     HD720p 35MB
First trailer for a new live-action movie based on the Mattel toy franchise. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe. Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley and Kristin Wiig are also part of the cast. Directed by Travis Knight (BumbleBee, Kubo and the Two Strings).
I know nothing about previous incarnations. But much of this looks as if it's "AI" generated.

I Love Boosters     HD720p 21MB
Colourful, high-energy teaser trailer for this comedic drama about a crew of professional shoplifters (Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu) that take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven (Demi Moore). It’s like community service. Lakeith Stanfield, Eiza González, Will Poulter and Don Cheadle are also part of the cast. Written and directed by Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You).

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die     HD720p 31MB
A second trailer for this darkly comedic sci-fi action thriller in which a man (Sam Rockwell) claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world. Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, Tom Taylor and Juno Temple are also part of the cast. Directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mexican, Rango).
Just as wacky as the first trailer. Just imagine Sam Rockwell in top Sam Rockwell form. Or a Terry Gilliam movie.

Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie     HD720p 28MB
Highly chaotic time travel mockumentary about a musical duo (Matt Johnson, Jay McCarrol) that is desperately failing to book a gig at the storied Toronto venue The Rivoli. When their plan goes horribly wrong, Matt and Jay accidentally travel back to the year 2008. It's also written and directed by Johnson (BlackBerry, Operation Avalanche) and McCarrol.
It's apparently based on a web series and a TV show that I'm not familiar with, but this looks very funny. An earlier teaser trailer: HD720p 22MB.

Sirat     HD720p 28MB
Apocalyptic thriller set in the Moroccan desert in which a father (Sergi López) and his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains. They are searching for Mar — daughter and sister — who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. Surrounded by electronic music and a raw, unfamiliar sense of freedom, they hand out her photo again and again. Hope is fading, but they push through and follow a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert.
Was already released in many European countries months ago, it's Spain's official Oscar entry. An earlier teaser: HD1080p 56MB.

The Bride!     HD720p 32MB
Second trailer for another unconventional dark monster horror thriller. A lonely Frankenstein (Christian Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Jessie Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance. Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penélope Cruz are also part of the cast. Directed and adapted for the screen by Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Lost Daughter).

The Wrecking Crew     HD720p 36MB
Action comedy about two estranged half-brothers (Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa) who reunite after their father's mysterious death. As they search for the truth, buried secrets reveal a conspiracy threatening to tear their family apart. Stephen Root, Morena Baccarin, Jacob Batalon, Claes Bang and Temuera Morrison are also part of the cast. Directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle).
That's a lot of man meat and muscles. The movie at least seems to be aware of it. Will start streaming on Amazon Prime January 28th.

Fiume o morte!     HD1080p 37MB
Documentary that's Croatia submission for Best International Feature Film. On 12 September 1919, a troop of some three hundred soldiers under the leadership of the flamboyant war loving Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio swooped into the Northern-Adriatic port town of Fiume, now Rijeka, wanting to annex the city to Italy. Over the course of the next 16 months, during what is regarded as one of the most bizarre militant sieges of all time his official photography team captured over 10,000 images. A century later, Croatian filmmaker Igor Bezinovic, along with some three hundred citizens, orchestrates a direct-action history lesson focused on the siege and its modern-day implications.
Looks very fascinating, bewildering and scary. It's also timely.

The Death of Robin Hood     HD720p 34MB
Action-adventure drama with a new take on an aging Robin Hood. Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Wolverine Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman) finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman (Jodie Comer), he is offered a chance at salvation. Bill Skarsgård and Noah Jupe are also part of the cast. Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One).
Reminds me that I want to watch Robin and Marian.

The Testament of Ann Lee     HD720p 26MB
Biographical, historical musical drama about Ann Lee (Amanda Seyfried), founder of the devotional sect known as the Shakers. She was the irrepressible leader, who preached gender and social equality and was revered by her followers. The movie captures the ecstasy and agony of her quest to build a utopia, featuring more than a dozen traditional Shaker hymns reimagined as rapturous movements. Thomasin Mckenzie, Lewis Pullman, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Abbott and Stacy Martin are also part of the cast. Directed by Mona Fastvold (The World to Come) and written by Fastvold and her partner Brady Corbet, the couple responsible for The Brutalist.
Musicals and religious sects are not among my favourite topics. But the movie certainly seems unique and received very favourable festival reviews, especially praising the performance of Seyfried. A featurette about the Music & Movement of the film. And an earlier teaser trailer: HD720p 20MB.

They Will Kill You     HD720p 39MB
Redband trailer for this violent, comedic action movie in which a woman (Zazie Beetz) takes a job as a housekeeper in a NYC high-rise, unaware of the building's history of disappearances. She soon realizes the community is shrouded in mystery, causing her to survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult’s mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering. Myha’La, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham and Patricia Arquette are also part of the cast.
Looks a bit exhausting.

Hamlet     HD1080p 29MB
A reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, set in the world of a British South Asian family in contemporary London. Hamlet (Riz Ahmed) returns to London for the funeral of his father, but he is shocked when his uncle, Claudius (Art Malik), announces that he’s marrying Hamlet’s just-widowed mother (Sheeba Chaddha). After seeing his father’s ghost, who says he was murdered by Claudius, Hamlet becomes consumed by rage and revenge. Joe Alwyn, Timothy Spall and Morfydd Clark are also part of the cast.
Festival reviews are a bit mixed. But it looks visually good, and Ahmed gives another memorable performance.

Send Help     HD720p 26MB
Darkly comedic psychological thriller in which two colleagues (Rachel McAdams, Dylan O'Brien) who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it becomes an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive. First trailer for the latest movie directed by Steven Spielberg (Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, War of the Worlds), to be in theatres next June. The tag line/summary reads: If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? Cast members include Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo and Wyatt Russell.
An effective teaser trailer.

The Sheep Detectives     HD720p 40MB
Comedic crime mystery about a shepherd (Hugh Jackman) who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers. Extensive (partially voice) cast includes Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey and Rhys Darby. Directed by Kyle Balda (co-directed Minions, Despicable Me 3, The Lorax).

The Housemaid     HD720p 28MB
Thriller that plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sydney Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous – a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Jackpot!, Spy).
Not my genre, and already in theatres, but reviews for this campy, over-the-top thriller are better than I would've expected.

Animal Farm     HD1080p 42MB
Trailer for a new animated adaptation of George Orwell's novel about the dangers of communism, to be in theatres ... May 1st. A satirical allegory of revolution and power, the story traces how a movement for equality is systematically corrupted. As the pigs consolidate control, truth is erased, dissent is crushed, and the farm descends into a ruthless dictatorship. The voice cast includes Seth Rogen as Napoleon, Gaten Matarazzo as Lucky, Kieran Culkin as Squealer, Glenn Close as Freida Pilkington, Steve Buscemi as Mr. Whymper, Laverne Cox as Snowball, Woody Harrelson as Boxer, Jim Parsons as Carl, Kathleen Turner as Benjamin, and Iman Vellani as Puff and Tammy. Directed by Andy Serkis (Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Breathe).
Festival reviews (and the trailer) indicate that by trying to modernise the story it doesn't really do the story justice.

Supergirl     HD720p 29MB
First teaser trailer for another addition to the DC Comic Universe. When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl (Milly Alcock), reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa are also part of the cast. Directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Dumb Money, Cruella).
I think I'm too old for this.

Mother Mary     HD720p 28MB
Hard to categorise musical drama in which long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer (Michaela Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance. Hunter Schafer, Jessica Brown Findlay, Sian Clifford and FKA Twigs are also part of the cast. Written and directed by David Lowery (The Green Knight, Pete's Dragon, The Old Man & the Gun).
Hard to say how this will turn out, which makes it at least interesting. Maybe the best reference point is keeping in mind that Lowery directed The Green Knight.

Marty Supreme     HD720p 32MB
A second trailer for the latest movie directed by Josh Safdie (Uncut Gems, Good Time with his brother Benny). There's still only a general tagline that says that it's about Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet), a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness. By that sentence you probably wouldn't have guessed it, it's about a ping-pong player with the story losely based on Marty Reisman. Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma and Fran Drescher are also part of the cast.
The trailer doesn't offer much new. But there have been some screenings for critics and their reviews highly praise the energy of the film and Chalamet's performance.

Midwinter Break     HD1080p 29MB
Relationship drama about a retired couple's (Lesley Manville, Ciarán Hinds) trip to Amsterdam that stirs up troubled memories from their past. Movie debut of British National Theatre director Polly Findlay.

OBEX     HD720p 26MB
Black-and-white surreal lo-fi fantasy film set in pre-internet 1987. Conor (Albert Birney) and his dog Sandy live a life of seclusion, lost in the slow-rendering graphics of early Macs and televisions aglow with late night horror movie marathons. But when he begins playing OBEX, a new and mysterious, state-of-the-art computer game, he finds himself trapped in a low-tech, but high-stakes analog hellscape as the line between reality and game blurs. It's also directed by Birney (Strawberry Mansion).
Looks pretty weirs. But festival reviews are very favourable.

A Private Life - Vie privée     HD1080p 22MB
Slyly comic psychological thriller in which an American psychoanalyst (Jodie Foster) in Paris, is devastated to learn that her client Paula (Virginie Efira) has taken her own life. Or has she? Visits from Paula's furious widower Simon (Mathieu Amalric) and taciturn daughter Valérie (Luàna Bajrami), along with the discovery that files have been stolen from her office, suggest that Paula may have fallen victim to foul play. Assisted by her ex-husband Gabriel (Daniel Auteuil), she undertakes some amateur sleuthing.

Pillion     HD1080p 26MB
A bit of an unusual British "rom-com" about a timid man (Harry Melling) who is swept off his feet when an enigmatic, impossibly handsome biker (Alexander Skarsgård) takes him on as his submissive.
Festival reviews are very favourable. If you would like to watch the trailer without German subtitles. And an earlier teaser trailer: HD720p 18MB.

The Magic Faraway Tree     HD1080p 39MB
Family movie based on Enid Blyton's novel about Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield) and their three children - a modern family forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. As they adapt to their new lives, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents including treasured characters Moonface (Nonso Anozie), Silky (Nicola Coughlan), Dame Washalot (Jessica Gunning) and Saucepan Man (Dustin Demri-Burns). Rebecca Ferguson and Jennifer Saunders are also part of the cast.

The Chronology of Water     HD1080p 51MB
Intense, autobiographical drama about Lidia (Imogen Poots) who only feels whole when she’s in the water. Kicking through lap after lap, she can temporarily float free of the cold, rageful father who sexually abused her and her older sister (Thora Birch) while their apathetic mother turned away. Out of the pool, she flounders, ruining her college swimming scholarship with booze, drugs and reckless sex and lashing out contemptuously at anyone who shows her kindness. But when she joins a collaborative creative writing class led by "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" author and countercultural hero Ken Kesey (Jim Belushi), Lidia finds the same fluid escape in writing.
Marks the directorial debut of Kristen Stewart that was very well received this year in Cannes.

Shelter     HD720p 29MB
Action thriller about a reclusive man (Jason Statham) who rescues a young girl from a deadly storm on a remote coastal island, drawing them both into danger. Forced out of isolation, he must confront his turbulent past while protecting her, sending them on a tense journey of survival and redemption. Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, Harriet Walter and Daniel Mays are also part of the cast.
Doesn't look any different than about a dozen films Statham has starred in (who can keep them apart?). But it's been a while since I posted a trailer for one of his action vehicles, so I thought for a change I'll include it.

How to Make a Killing     HD1080p 54MB
Crime comedy about blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell), disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, who will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way. Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Topher Grace, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp and Zach Woods are also part of the cast. Written and directed by John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal).
Another opportunity to measure the star power of Glen Powell.

Dead Man's Wire     HD720p 36MB
Crime drama based on real events, directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk, Last Days). On February 8, 1977, Tony Kiritsis (Bill Skarsgård) entered the office of Richard Hall (Dacre Montgomery), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun wired with a "dead man's wire" from the trigger to Tony's own neck. As the nation and turns the abductor into an outlaw folk hero, and as the media frenzy peaks, the standoff becomes a spectacle of desperation, defiance and blurred justice. Colman Domingo, Cary Elwes, Myha'la and Al Pacino are also part of the cast.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping     HD720p 32MB
Very early teaser trailer for another franchise extension, again directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Constantine, I Am Legend), to be in theatres November next year. It will revisit the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. Cast members include Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Jesse Plemons, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Whitney Peak and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
I don't care about this franchise, but I'm curious how much fun acting heavyweights like Fiennes, Plemons and Close will have with their roles.

Goodbye June     HD1080p 18MB
Family drama set just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s (Helen Mirren) health thrusts four adult siblings (Kate Winslet, Toni Collette, Andrea Riseborough, Johnny Flynn) and their exasperating father (Timothy Spall) into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love. Marks the directorial debut of Winslet.
After a brief theatrical run will start streaming on Netflix on Christmas Eve.

With time running out, it’s down to the two, with the help of a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Liam Neeson), to contain the merciless menace and prevent the explosive extinction of Mankind itself.
An earlier teaser: HD720p 19MB.

Is This Thing On?     HD720p 31MB
Second trailer for a comedic drama directed by Bradley Cooper (Maestro, A Star Is Born). As their marriage quietly unravels, Alex (Will Arnett) faces middle age and an impending divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess (Laura Dern) confronts the sacrifices she made for their family - forcing them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and whether love can take a new form. Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds and also Cooper are part of the cast.
While his two first movies aren't among my favourites. I have to admit that I've underestimated Cooper's ambition as a film maker.

Project Hail Mary     HD720p 45MB
Second trailer for another adaptation of a novel by Andy Weir (The Martian), this time directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), to be in theatres next March. Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction. Sandra Hüller and Lionel Boyce are also part of the cast.
The first trailer already revealed a lot, so please decide for yourself if you want to watch another trailer beforehand.

Islands     HD720p 21MB
Arthouse thriller, a tennis coach at a tropical resort finds himself at the center of a missing persons mystery. Tom (Sam Riley) teaches tennis during the day and parties at night. When an enigmatic tourist (Stacy Martin) arrives, he's unable to shake the feeling he has met her before. Tension and attraction grow, until her husband (Jack Farthing) disappears, and the police suspect Tom.
I've added "arthouse" to the description since besides being kind of a thriller this is more of a character portrait. But with a little patience nevertheless worth a watch.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie     HD720p 35MB
First trailer for the animated sequel, to be in theatres next April. Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) join Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) on an adventure to the far reaches of space and across the galaxy where they face off against Bowser’s (Jack Black) son, Bowser Jr. (Bennie Safdie), who is trying to retrieve and free his father from being shrunken and imprisoned. Another new voice will be provided by Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die     HD720p 28MB
Darkly comedic sci-fi action thriller in which a man (Sam Rockwell) claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world. Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, Tom Taylor and Juno Temple are also part of the cast. Directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mexican, Rango).
Official summary doesn't quite do the wackiness of the trailer justice. Just imagine Sam Rockwell in top Sam Rockwell form. Or a Terry Gilliam movie.

100 Nights of Hero     HD720p 27MB
Romantic fairy tale set in Darkly End, an alternate world ruled by the despotic Birdman (Richard E. Grant). Cherry (Maika Monroe) is unhappily married to Jerome (Amir El-Masry), who doesn’t want to spend time with her. Considering their ‘duty’ to produce an heir, this is worrying. The only bright spot in Cherry’s day is her maid, Hero (Emma Corrin). Hero is part of a secret society that collects stories of women who rebelled and met unjust fates, vowing their sacrifices won’t be forgotten. Because death is never far away for women here. So, when Jerome mysteriously goes on a ‘business trip’ and leaves Cherry with his flirtatious friend Manfred (Nicholas Galitzine), Hero has a bad feeling. As the charming Manfred settles in, Cherry finds herself caught between the only man who has ever listened to her, and the maid she is developing forbidden feelings for.

Crime 101     HD720p 37MB
Crime thriller, set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, that weaves the tale of an elusive thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose high-stakes heists unfolding along the iconic 101 freeway have mystified police. Determined to crack the case, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) closes in on the operation, raising the stakes even higher. Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte are also part of the cast.
I hope it will turn out to be as cool as it thinks it is.

Political thriller set in 1977 Brazil, in which a technology expert (Wagner Moura) flees from a mysterious past and returns to his hometown of Recife in search of peace. The full trailer for this heartbreaking drama about grief based on the fictional account of the novel by Maggie O’Farrell that tells the story of Agnes (Jessie Buckley) - the wife of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) - as she struggles to come to terms with the loss of her only son, Hamnet. A human and heart-stopping story as the backdrop to the creation of Shakespeare's most famous play, Hamlet. Emily Watson, Joe Alwyn, Jack Shalloo, Noah Jupe and David Wilmot are also part of the cast. Directed by Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, The Rider, Eternals).
Festival reviews are positive throughout. But you certainly have to be in the right mood.

Jay Kelly     HD720p 39MB
Full trailer for this drama with comedic elements in which famous movie actor Jay Kelly (George Clooney) and his devoted manager (Adam Sandler) embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey. Both are forced to confront choices they've made, their relationships with loved ones and the legacies they'll leave behind. Also part of the extensive cast are Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Emily Mortimer, Lars Eidinger and Isla Fisher. Directed by Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story, Greenberg, Frances Ha), interestingly, co-written by him and Mortimer.
It's all a bit too meta-Clooney. And I say that as a fan. After a brief theatrical run in November will start streaming on Netflix December 5th.

The Love That Remains - Ástin sem eftir er     HD1080p 37MB
Comedic drama from Iceland that captures a year in the life of a family as the parents navigate their separation. Through intimate vignettes and strange occurrences, the film explores the complexities of family, love, and the impact of shared memories.
I don't know how representative it is of the film itself, but it's a very funny trailer, and festival reviews are very favourable. It's Iceland's entry for Best International Feature Film.

No Other Choice - Eojjeolsuga Eobsda     HD1080p 23MB
Full trailer for the latest movie directed by Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Stoker, The Handmaiden). It's a darkly comic satire about a man (Lee Byung-hun) who is abruptly laid off by the paper company where he has worked tirelessly for many years. Soon he's falling behind on his mortgage payments and his wife (Son Ye-jin) insists they put the house up for sale. He's desperate to scoop a coveted position, but he knows there are other job seekers who match his pedigree. So he hatches a plan to eliminate the competition.
Looks very promising.

Mercy     HD720p 39MB
Sci-fi action thriller set in the near future, in which a detective (Chris Pratt) stands on trial accused of murdering his wife (Annabelle Wallis). He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge (Rebecca Ferguson) he once championed, before it determines his fate. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter).
Seems to unnecessarily give away some spoilerish information towards the end. If you would like to avoid, stop watching at the 2:30 mark.

Die My Love     HD1080p 25MB
Intense thriller drama that tells the story of Grace (Jennifer Lawrence) and Jackson (Robert Pattinson), who move from New York City to rural Montana. As they adjust to their new surroundings and welcome their first child, they are confronted with the complications of postnatal depression, the isolation of their new environment, and their unhappy marriage. Sissy Spacek, Nick Nolte and LaKeith Stanfield are also part of the cast. Directed by Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin, You Were Never Really Here).
Festival reviews are mostly favourable, but it's obviously not an easy watch.

Nuremberg     HD1080p 27MB
Historical drama that chronicles the events that brought the Nazi high command to justice in the wake of World War II. The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Herman Göring (Russell Crowe). Richard E. Grant, Colin Hanks, Leo Woodall, John Slattery and Lotte Verbeek are also part of the cast.
I appreciate the reminder that political and military leaders can be held responsible for their crimes if the will exists, this feels a bit too much like a Hollywood movie that doesn't do the historical events justice.

Avatar: Fire and Ash     HD720p 38MB
A second trailer for the third installment of the 3D CGI franchise, listed to have a running time of 3h 12m, to be in theatres this Christmas, again directed by James Cameron (Titanic, True Lies, The Terminator). Cast members include Tom Waits, Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Charlotte Rampling, Cate Blanchett, Vicky Krieps, Sarah Greene, Indya Moore and Luka Sabbat.
Won the Golden Lion for Best Film last month in Venice.

Ballad of a Small Player     HD1080p 32MB
Trailer for the latest movie directed by Edward Berger (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western Front). It's a neon-lit thriller drama about Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell) an obsessive gambler who is laying low in Macau – spending his days and nights on the casino floors, drinking heavily and gambling what little money he has left. Struggling to keep up with his fast-rising debts, he is offered a lifeline by a mysterious casino employee (Fala Chen) with secrets of her own. However, in hot pursuit is a private investigator (Tilda Swinton) – ready to confront him with what he is running from.
Festival reviews indicate that there's a lot of style, but not enough substance. After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on Netflix starting October 29th. An article about Macau and the setting of the film.

Train Dreams     HD1080p 31MB
Drama based on the novella by Denis Johnson set in the Pacific Northwest. It's the moving portrait of Robert Grainier (Joel Edgerton), a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 20th Century. Felicity Jones, Kerry Condon, William H. Macy, Paul Schneider and Clifton Collins Jr. are also part of the cast, Will Patton narrates.
Probably not my kind of film, but it looks quite epic and it received highly favourable reviews. After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on Netflix November 21st.

The Twits     HD1080p 37MB
Animated film adaptation based on a children's book by Roald Dahl. Two orphans join forces with a family of magical animals to save their city from the powerful Mr. and Mrs. Twit (Johnny Vegas, Margo Martindale), the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world. Emilia Clarke, Natalie Portman, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ryan Lopez, Timothy Simons, Nicole Byer, Jason Mantzoukas and Alan Tudyk also lend their voices.
Will start streaming on Netflix October 17th.

Reviews from the recent premiere in Venice describe the movie as being very, very tense. After a brief theatrical release will start streaming on Netflix October 24th.

The Mandalorian and Grogu     HD720p 19MB
First teaser trailer for another Star Wars spinoff movie, to be in theatres next May. The generic summary so far reads: Once a lone bounty hunter, Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure. It's probably Pedro Pascal in that armour, Sigourney Weaver will be part of the cast, Jeremy Allen White will lend his voice (I think he's the "guy" who can briefly be seen at the 0:51 mark). Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book, The Lion King).
Even though I know none of the characters I get the feeling I've already seen the movie before.

The Bride!     HD720p 24MB
Trailer for another unconventional dark monster horror thriller.
Jessie Buckley is one of those actresses where it's not a question of if but when she will win an Oscar.

The Librarians     HD1080p 40MB
Documentary about America’s war on books, and superheroes who don't wear capes. In Texas, the Krause List targets 850 books focused on race and LGBTQIA+ stories – triggering sweeping book bans across the U.S. at an unprecedented rate. As tensions escalate, librarians connect the dots from heated school and library board meetings nationwide to lay bare the underpinnings of extremism fueling the censorship efforts. Despite facing harassment, threats, and laws aimed at criminalizing their work – the librarians’ rallying cry for freedom to read is a chilling cautionary tale.
And that was before the current regime took over. Now in limited release in the US and the UK.

Wicked: For Good     HD720p 47MB
Another trailer for the second part of the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical, again directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights, Now You See Me 2), to be on theatres in November. Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh), she's deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard. As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Bowen Yang also will return.

Hamnet     HD720p 21MB
Heartbreaking drama about grief based on the fictional account of the novel by Maggie O’Farrell that tells the story of Agnes (Jessie Buckley) - the wife of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) - as she struggles to come to terms with the loss of her only son, Hamnet.

Wuthering Heights     HD720p 23MB
Teaser trailer for this romantic drama that's kind of based on Emily Brontë's novel. It's a passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) and Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie). Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Ewan Mitchell and Martin Clunes are also part of the cast. Directed by Emerald Fennell (Saltburn, Promising Young Woman).
I haven't read the book and I'm barely familiar with the other movies. But this looks a bit different than previous adaptations. To be in theatres on Valentine’s Day, the time when all the Fifty Shades of Grey films were released.

Anaconda     HD720p 35MB
Action-adventure comedy about Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) who have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie: the cinematic "classic" Anaconda. When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior and Selton Mello are also part of the cast. Directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent).
Probably funnier if one is familiar with the original.

Eagles of the Republic     HD1080p 22MB
Trailer for the latest political thriller from Tarik Saleh that marks the end of his informal Cairo trilogy (The Nile Hilton Incident, Cairo Conspiracy). Egypt's most adored actor (Fares Fares) is pressured to star in a film commissioned by the highest authorities. He reluctantly accepts the role and finds himself thrown into the inner circle of power. Like a moth drawn to the flame he begins an affair with the mysterious wife (Zineb Triki) of the general (Amr Waked) overseeing the film. Lyna Khoudri is also part of the cast.
Was well received at festivals. And it's Sweden's official entry for Best Foreign Film.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere     HD720p 23MB
A second trailer for this biopic that chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen's (Jeremy Allen White) 1982 “Nebraska” album, a raw, haunted acoustic record that marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works. It also stars Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s long-time confidant and manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham and Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s parents, and also Odessa Young, Marc Maron and David Krumholtz. Directed by Scott Cooper (Black Mass, Out of the Furnace, Crazy Heart).

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery     HD720p 30MB
First trailer for the third and darkest chapter of the murder mystery series. When young priest Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) is sent to assist charismatic firebrand Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin), it’s clear that all is not well in the pews. Wicks’s modest-but-devoted flock includes devout church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close) circumspect groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), tightly-wound lawyer Vera Draven, Esq (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), best-selling author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott), and concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny). After a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) to unravel a mystery that defies all logic. Again written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, The Last Jedi).
Festival reviews from Toronto are very favourable. After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on Netflix December 12th.

The Rip     HD720p 24MB
Tense action thriller in which, upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops (Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Steven Yeun, Kyle Chandler, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Teyana Taylor) begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on. Sasha Calle, Nestor Carbonell and Scott Adkins are also part of the cast. Directed by Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces, The Grey).
That's a good trailer. Will start streaming on Netflix January 16th.

Song Sung Blue     HD720p 36MB
Musical drama based on a true story, about two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson) who form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it's never too late to find love and follow your dreams. Written and directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan, Dolemite Is My Name).
Will be in theatres, you guessed it, on Christmas.

So, when Aurora needs help killing the monster she believes ate her entire family, she procures his services. Suspecting that her parents may have fallen victim to assassins gunning for him, Aurora’s neighbor guiltily takes the job. Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, Rebecca Henderson and Shelia Atim are also part of the cast. Marks the feature film debut of Bryan Fuller who was responsible for TV shows like "Pushing Daisies" and "Hannibal".

Lesbian Space Princess     HD720p 19MB
Given current events I feel the urge to share the trailer for this colourful animated comedy from Australia in which the introverted Princess Saira, daughter of the flamboyant lesbian Queens of planet Clitopolis, is devastated when her girlfriend, the bounty hunter Kiki, suddenly breaks up with her for being too needy. When Kiki is kidnapped by the Straight White Maliens – forgotten incels of the future – Saira must leave the comforts of gay space to deliver the requested ransom: her Royal Labrys, the most powerful weapon known to lesbian kind.
Festival viewers were delighted.

Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds and also Cooper are also part of the cast.

Bugonia     HD720p 34MB
Full trailer for the latest movie directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite, Dogtooth). It's another dark satire in which two conspiracy obsessed young men (Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis) kidnap the high-powered CEO (Emma Stone) of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. Alicia Silverstone is also part of the cast.
Looks pretty insane. It's clear the two men did their own research in the internet. Premiered this week in Venice and received very favourable reviews. Since I previously mentioned the movie could be three hours long, I want to correct it's only just exactly two.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple     HD720p 29MB
Violent trailer for another instalment of the horror franchise. In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship - with consequences that could change the world as they know it - and Spike's (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) becomes a nightmare he can't escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival - the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying. Again written by Alex Garland, but this time directed by Nia DaCosta (The Marvels, Little Woods, Candyman).
Apparently shot back-to-back with 28 Years Later, there are plans to make a third one.

The Woman in Cabin 10     HD1080p 22MB
Mystery thriller based on crime novel by Ruth Ware. While on board a luxury yacht for a travel assignment, a journalist (Keira Knightley) witnesses a passenger thrown overboard late at night, only to be told that it didn’t happen, as all passengers and crew are accounted for. Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger. Guy Pearce, David Ajala, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Hannah Waddingham and Amanda Collin are also part of the cast. Directed by Simon Stone (The Daughter, The Dig).
Will start streaming on Netflix October 10th.

Megadoc     HD1080p 36MB
Fly-on-the-wall documentary about Francis Ford Coppola’s decades-long journey in creating his self-financed passion project, Megalopolis. It weaves together archival material, unfiltered cast interviews, and a close-up view of how the legendary filmmaker drew from Roman history, political allegory, and his own singular vision to shape the world of Megalopolis. Directed by Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas, Stormy Monday, Internal Affairs).
Festival reviews confirm the doc is more interesting than the movie itself. Though you probably should've seen it in order to put things in perspective.
trailer_spot: (Default)
Play Dirty     HD720p 38MB
Action, heist comedy in which an expert thief (Mark Wahlberg) rolls out the biggest heist of his life. Along with his partner (LaKeith Stanfield), a rival thief (Rosa Salazar) and a skilled crew, they stumble onto a score that pits them against the New York mob. Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane and Tony Shalhoub are also part of the cast. Directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang).
Should be passable streaming entertainment. It will be available on Amazon Prime October 1st.

Hedda     HD720p 25MB
A modern reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play. Newly wed and precariously dissatisfied with life, Hedda (Tessa Thompson) has convinced her husband George (Tom Bateman), a timid but ambitious scholar, to throw a lavish party the couple cannot afford. On the teeming guest list is Eileen Lovborg (Nina Hoss), a celebrated author of a book exploring sexuality — and George’s key rival for a coveted academic post. Hedda sees the guests as pawns in an elaborate game she plans to orchestrate with ruthless precision. Directed by Nia DaCosta (The Marvels, Little Woods, Candyman).
While the IMDb trivia section mentions that Bateman has performed the play on stage, I can add that Nina Hoss also has portrayed Hedda before. After a brief theatrical release, will start streaming on Amazon Prime October 29th.

The Mastermind     HD1080p 18MB
Trailer for the latest movie written and directed by Kelly Reichardt (Meek's Cutoff, Wendy and Lucy, Night Moves). This time it's a crime drama set in a sedate corner of Massachusetts circa 1970. JB Mooney (Josh O’Connor) an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief, plans his first big heist. He and two cohorts wander into a museum in broad daylight and steal four paintings. When holding onto the art proves more difficult than stealing them, he's relegated to a life on the run. Hope Davis, Bill Camp, Alana Haim, John Magaro and Gaby Hoffmann are also part of the cast.
The trailer probably puts a little too much emphasis on the lighter parts, but this looks actually very amusing. And festival reviews are very favourable.

Rabbit Trap     HD720p 26MB
Supernatural folk horror film set in the Welsh countryside in 1976. Seeking new inspiration and a fresh start, married musicians Daphne (Rosy McEwan) and Darcy (Dev Patel) move to the countryside to finish their new record. While collecting audio samples, Darcy inadvertently creates a field recording of mysterious sound never before heard by human ears. The discovery renews Daphne’s creative energy, but as the echoes of her music bleed into the surrounding landscape, ancient and malevolent woodland forces are disturbed. One day, a stranger arrives on their doorstep.
Sundance reviews are very mixed, but it's an interesting looking (and sounding) trailer.

The Threesome     HD720p 36MB
Comedic drama in which an impulsive night leads to a wild threesome between Olivia (Zoey Deutch), Connor (Jonah Hauer-King), and Jenny (Ruby Cruz), leaving both women facing unexpected consequences, thrusting all three into the raw and beautifully messy chaos of adulthood. Directed by Chad Hartigan (Morris from America, Luke and Brie Are on a First Date, Little Fish).
This could easily go tonally wrong. But it looks entertaining.
