I have no doubt this will look impressive on a big movie screen. However, I hesitate to mention it, but I'm not (yet) convinced that Damon, Holland and Pattinson have the necessary gravity to sell an epic.
To shorten the wait until the release, I can recommend Ralph Fiennes' The Return that covers a small part of the story.

Un-romantic comedic drama based on, you may have guessed it, a novel by Virginia Woolf. It's set in London 1910 and is about a passionate astronomer (Haley Bennett) who does everything she can to avoid romantic love and marriage. Her bold challenge to Edwardian patriarchy is set against the suffragette movement and advances in science and technology. Elyas M’Barek, Lily Allen, Jack Whitehall, Jennifer Saunders, Timothy Spall and Sally Phillips are also part of the cast.
The casting of Elyas M'Barek comes as a bit of a surprise.
