Drama which is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn) who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad - contrasting the realities of the war with America's perceptions. Kristen Stewart, Chris Tucker, Garrett Hedlund, Vin Diesel and Steve Martin are also part of the cast. Directed Ang Lee (Life of Pi, The Ice Storm, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon).
I will never stop being surprised by Lee's choice for his next movie. On a technical note, movie will be in 3D and is filmed at 120 frames per second.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. He discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day. Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed are also part of the cast.
Surprisingly, directed by Justin Kurzel who directed Fassbender and Cotillard in the recent adaptation of Macbeth.

Apocalyptic drama in which, when a global blackout suddenly plunges the world into complete chaos, two courageous sisters (Ellen Page, Evan Rachel Wood) and their loving father (Callum Keith Rennie) must fight to survive. Max Minghella and Michael Eklund are also part of the cast. Written and directed by Patricia Rozema (Mansfield Park, When Night Is Falling, I've Heard the Mermaids Singing).
The brief official summary is insofar misleading as this is more an intimate drama and not some kind of special effects action movie.
