Either way, Kathryn Bigelow's work is often largely ignored despite the high end casting and excellent story and terrific directing. Strange Days should have had a lot of awards and it's even still topical. Hurt Locker, one critic recall saying, was hard to watch and harder to look away from. I agree with you, though.
