Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore HD720p 106MB
First trailer for the sequel, to be in theatres in April. Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (now played by Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines? Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams and Katherine Waterson also return. Again directed by David Yates.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent HD720p 30MB
Action-comedy in which, creatively unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, Nicolas Cage (Nicolas Cage) must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan (Pedro Pascal). Things take a wildly unexpected turn when Cage is recruited by a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) and forced to live up to his own legend, channeling his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters in order to save himself and his loved ones. Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz and Neil Patrick Harris are also part of the cast.
I'm pleased to see that Cage continues his recent string of movies in which he makes fun of his own persona.
Everything Everywhere All at Once HD720p 53MB
A funny sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can't seem to finish her taxes. She's swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led. Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis are also part of the cast. The movie is brought to us by the directing duo Daniels, the guys who made the film Swiss Army Man in which Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse.
I've started to react slightly allergic to the term "multiverse". But there's a chance that Michelle Yeoh will prove to be an exception.
The Good Boss - El buen patrón HD1080p 36MB
Comedic drama from Spain in which Blanco (Javier Bardem), the "patron" of a factory making industrial scales, is under enormous pressure: he is desperate to win the local business award. Everything has to be perfect when the investigating commission arrives, but nothing goes according to plan. A vengeful ex-employee, a depressed supervisor and an overambitious intern who also has a crush on him make life difficult for Blanco. Despite all the obstacles, he does everything he can to win the competition – even if it means crossing moral boundaries.
Spain's official entry for Best International Feature Film.
Drive My Car - Doraibu mai kâ HD720p 72MB
Quiet drama from Japan adapted from a Haruki Murakami short story. Two years after his wife’s unexpected death, Yusuke Kafuku (Hidetoshi Nishijima), a renowned stage actor and director, receives an offer to direct a production of Uncle Vanya at a theater festival in Hiroshima. There, he meets Misaki Watari (Toko Miura), a taciturn young woman assigned by the festival to chauffeur him in his beloved red Saab 900. As the production’s premiere approaches, tensions mount amongst the cast and crew, not least between Yusuke and Koji Takatsuki, a handsome TV star who shares an unwelcome connection to Yusuke’s late wife. Forced to confront painful truths raised from his past, Yusuke begins - with the help of his driver – to face the haunting mysteries his wife left behind.
It's difficult to get excited when watching the trailer, partially explained by the nature of the movie. It's also three hours long. But the movie won the Best Screenplay Award in Cannes, and it turns up on a number of "Best of" lists from critics for the year. It's now Japan's submission for 'Best International Feature Film'.
