The Gray Man     HD720p 28MB
Action thriller about CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He'll need it. Rege-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Alfre Woodard and Wagner Moura are also part of the cast. Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo (Welcome to Collinwood, You Me and Dupree, and a couple of Marvel movies).
I doubt there will be a review that won't mention the moustaches. After a limited theatrical run, will start streaming on Netflix July 22nd.

Thor: Love and Thunder     HD720p 99MB
Full trailer for the next instalment of the Thor franchise, again directed by Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Jojo Rabbit, What We Do in the Shadows). It finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. There's also Russell Crowe playing Zeus.

The Forgiven     HD720p 100MB
Drama directed by John Michael McDonagh The Guard, Calvary, War on Everyone). Speeding through the Moroccan desert to attend an old friend’s lavish weekend party, wealthy Londoners David and Jo (Ralph Fiennes, Jessica Chastain) are involved in a tragic accident with a local teenage boy. Arriving late at the grand villa with the debauched party raging, the couple attempts to cover up the incident with the collusion of the local police. But when the boy’s father arrives seeking justice, the stage is set for a tension-filled culture clash in which David and Jo must come to terms with their fateful act and its shattering consequences. Matt Smith, Christopher Abbott, Caleb Landry Jones and Abbey Lee are also part of the cast.

Hustle     HD1080p 51MB
Sports movie about a washed-up basketball scout (Adam Sandler) who discovers a phenomenal street ball player while in Spain and sees the prospect as his opportunity to get back into the NBA. Queen Latifah, Ben Foster and Robert Duvall are also part of the cast.
Will certainly not re-invent the genre, but looks like a decent variation, with Sandler's performance looking as being closer to his recent Uncut Gems role than to his so often forgettable comedies. Will start streaming on Netflix starting June 10th, coinciding with the end of the NBA season.

Resurrection     HD720p 27MB
Psychological (horror) thriller/drama about Margaret (Rebecca Hall) who leads a successful and orderly life, perfectly balancing the demands of her busy career and single parenthood to her fiercely independent daughter. Everything is under control. But that careful balance is upended when an unwelcome shadow from her past, David (Tim Roth) returns, carrying with him the horrors of Margaret's past. Battling her rising fear, she must confront the monster she's evaded for two decades who has come to conclude their unfinished business.
Not really my genre, but festival reviews are mostly favourable, and Hall and Roth are a plus.

The Gray Man: Those were definitely moustaches. But I find that a couple of moustaches is not enough to make up for what was otherwise a collection of explosions and car crashes with no obvious plot, connection, or humour to bring it together.

Thor: Love & Thunder: I recently re-read the comics this is inspired by. I hope it's as good!

The Forgiven: Looks stressful, and very very good.

Hustle: I don't give a damn about basketball and I could tell that I'd be cheering the guy on when he succeeds. And, yeah, great to see Adam Sandler in a decent role.

Resurrection: Waaaay too stressful for me. I'd vibrate my way through my seat.

In the comics, at this point, Thor's relationship with Jane Foster is years in the past. He does have feelings for her, but not romance. But then the comics Thor has had an awful lot more plot than you could fit into the run-time of the movies.

The existence of a lady Thor is totally from the comics though, as is the God Killer plotline.

He is, canonically, supposed to be terrible with emotions. Delighted to hit things with hammers and fight monsters, terrible at anything else.
