Finally I can offer a downloadable version of a trailer in decent technical quality for Wong Kar Wai (2046, In the Mood for Love, Chungking Express) latest movie. It tells the story of two kung fu masters: he comes from China's south; she is from the north. His name is Ip Man (Tony Leung Chiu Wai); hers is Gong Er (Zhang Ziyi). Their paths cross in his hometown of Foshan on the eve of the Japanese invasion in 1936. China is in turmoil and the country's south teeters on the brink of partition from the north. Gong Er's father is a renowned grandmaster. He too travels to Foshan. The legendary brothel The Golden Pavilion, where the country’s best martial artists converge, is to be the venue for his retirement ceremony. This tale of betrayal, challenge, honour and love plays out against the chaotic backdrop of war and occupation.
As usual, it took WKW a long time to edit the movie, and it seems that he's still not finished doing so since there are reports that the version to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next week (where WKW will be Jury President) will be ten minutes shorter than the one released earlier this year in China. But the result looks just as splendid as expected.

But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete. Meanwhile, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command. The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. All cast members return, Gina Carano (Haywire) is a new addition.

It revolves around the brief encounter between an elderly professor and a sociology student who moonlights as a high-end escort. Dispatched to the old man by her boss - one of the professor's former students - the young woman finds her latest client less interested in sex than in cooking her soup, talking, and playing old Ella Fitzgerald records.

The indomitable Marion, however, refuses to let her condition get her down, and she continues to take great pleasure in singing with the local seniors' choir which, under the guidance of the choir mistress (Gemma Arterton), performs timeless classics like "True Colors", "Let's Talk About Sex" and Motörhead's "Ace of Spades". As her condition worsens, he does his best to please her - even to the extent of taking her place in the choir. Christopher Eccleston is also part of the cast.
