Elysium     HD450p 19MB   HD720p 47MB   HD1080p 63MB
First trailer for the second movie written and directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9). It is set in the year 2154, where two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined planet. The people of Earth are desperate to escape the crime and poverty that is now rampant throughout the land. The only man with the chance to bring equality to these worlds is Max (Matt Damon), an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission - one that pits him against Elysium's Secretary (Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces. Diego Luna, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga and William Fichtner are also part of the cast.
Judging by this year's release list of big budget summer movies, the future looks pretty bleak. Which is fine with me.

Rush     HD720p 42MB
UK trailer for this Formula 1 racing drama about the merciless 1970s rivalry between the charismatic Englishman James Hunt (a very clean-shaven Chris Hemsworth) and the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl), whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomised the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives. Alexandra Maria Lara and Olivia Wilde are also part of the cast. Directed by Ron Howard (The Da Vinci Code, Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon), screenplay by Peter Morgan.
The joy of driving in circles and dying in a burning car wreck in front of millions of TV viewers? Priceless!

Now You See Me     HD480p 19MB   HD720p 88MB   HD1080p 170MB
Second trailer for this crime thriller that pits a crack FBI squad (Mark Ruffalo, Mélanie Laurent) in a game of cat and mouse against a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists (Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco), who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law. Oh, and there's also Alfred and Lucius. Directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk, Transporter 2).
I'm still a little curious if the story will have any substance or if it will be just (computer generated) style and magic.

Syrup     HD720p 18MB
Satire about marketing based on the book by Max Barry, told through the soda industry and the backstabbing and corporate ladder climbing of twentysomethings trying to make it to the top. A slacker (Shiloh Fernandez) hatches a million-dollar idea. But, in order to see it through, he has to learn to trust his attractive corporate counterpart (Amber Heard). Brittany Snow and Kellan Lutz are also part of the cast.
Not sure if the movie will be able to find the necessary tone to tell the story. But we can always watch American Psycho again.

Behind the Candelabra     HD720p 23MB
And if you can't get enough of Matt Damon, here's a trailer for the made-for-TV movie about the tempestuous 6-year relationship between Liberace (Michael Douglas) and his much younger lover (Damon). Also part of the cast are Debbie Reynolds, Rob Lowe, Dan Aykroyd and Scott Bakula. Also noteworthy, this will be the last directorial effort by Steven Soderbergh (Contagion, Magic Mike, Ocean's Eleven). It will debut in the US on HBO on May 26th, but will probably have a theatrical release in some other countries.
One can be forgiven for thinking that Liberace was gay.
