Also part of the cast are Gemma Arterton and Ben Schwartz. Directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) and the screenwriters previously collaborated on movies like Ocean's Thirteen and Runaway Jury.
I'm not entirely sold, but the director and the screenwriters let me give them the benefit of the doubt.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of connection or chemistry between the actors.

Desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife, he commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain (Jon Voight) holding his wife hostage.
I know it's not her fault, but since Gomez still looks like a 12-year old her role doesn't make a lot of sense.

But her own difficult past – and the surprising future that suddenly presents itself – throw her into unforeseen confusion, made all the sharper with the arrival of a new intake at the facility: a gifted but troubled teenage girl with whom she has a charged connection.
Movie was very well received at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this year where it won the Audience Award and the Grand Jury prize.
