Full trailer for the remake of the classic story of a day-dreamer (Ben Stiller) who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker (Kristen Wiig) are threatened, Walter takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined. also part of the cast are Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn. Now with dialogue, but it still looks very impressive. A very effective trailer.
Sunlight Jr. HD720p 46MB
Social drama about a Quickie-mart employee (Naomi Watts) and her boyfriend (Matt Dillon) who are poor but very much in love. Living in a Florida motel and supported by her small hourly wage and his monthly disability check, they are nevertheless thrilled to learn that she is pregnant. When her abusive ex (Norman Reedus) begins sniffing around, her job is threatened and the couple faces eviction, their tenuous financial situation threatens to bring their modest but happy life crashing down. Written and directed by Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby).
Probably great performances, but not exactly a feel-good movie.
The Broken Circle Breakdown HD480p 13MB HD720p 60MB
Romantic melodrama from Belgium with a lot of bluegrass music. Elise and Didier fall in love at first sight. She has her own tattoo shop and he plays the banjo in a bluegrass band. They bond over their shared enthusiasm for American music and culture, and dive headfirst into a sweeping romance that plays out on and off stage—but when an unexpected tragedy hits their new family, everything they know and love is tested. An intensely moving portrait of a relationship from beginning to end, propelled by a soundtrack of foot-stomping bluegrass.
Also, a different trailer version with dialogue. Though it also only barely hints at the fact that this is mainly a drama: HD720p 30MB.
Belgium's official entry for the next Foreign Language Oscar. The full list of the 76 entries was released last night. Some commentary on the list.
Rio 2 HD480p 19MB HD720p 87MB
Full trailer for the sequel in which we find Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), Jewel (Anne Hathaway) and their three kids living the perfect domesticated life in that magical city. When Jewel decides the kids need to learn to live like real birds, she insists the family venture into the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in with his new neighbors, he worries he may lose Jewel and the kids to the call of the wild. Again directed by Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age movies, Rio).
Inside Llewyn Davis HD720p 26MB
Another nice trailer with some added dialogue scenes for the latest movie written and directed by Ethan and Joel Coen (A Serious Man, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Miller's Crossing). It's about a singer-songwriter (Oscar Isaac) who navigates New York's folk music scene. It follows him a week in his life as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles—some of them of his own making. Also part of the cast are Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake, F. Murray Abraham and Garrett Hedlund.
