First trailer for the latest sci-fi action adventure written and directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski (Matrix trilogy, Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas). Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, she dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when a genetically engineered ex-military hunter (Channing Tatum), arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along. Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Doona Bae and James D'Arcy are also part of the cast.
Doesn't look entirely convincing. But I'm deeply thankful for every big budget movie that's at least somewhat original.

As a reporter (Kathryn Hahn) attempts to discover his true motivation, he finds himself forging an unlikely alliance with a competitor: awkward 10-year-old Chaitanya, who is completely unfazed by his take-no-prisoners approach to life. Allison Janney and Philip Baker Hall are also part of the cast.
Got some pretty good reviews after it's debut in Toronto. But it looks as if you could just as well watch Bad Santa again.

To convince his family that he's finally straightened out his life, he takes her home for his brother's wedding where an improbable romance blooms, as she impresses everyone with her genuine, simple charms. J.K. Simmons is also part of the cast.
Watching the trailer I suddenly realised I've seen that movie before. Turns out it's the remake of a German movie that starred Til Schweiger.

In their grief, the two women form an awkward but meaningful friendship.
Not your average Christmas movie which makes it more appealing. Speaking of, if you're still looking for presents.
