Guardians of the Galaxy HD480p 29MB HD720p 56MB HD1080p 93MB
First introductory trailer for the next expansion of the Walt Disney/Marvel Franchise Universe. This time brash adventurer Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan (Lee Pace), a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade him, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits - Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon (Bradley Cooper); Groot (Vin Diesel), a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora (Zoe Saldana); and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista). Needless to say, the galaxy's fate in the balance. Also part of the enormous cast are Peter Serafinowicz, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, to name but a few. Written and directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super).
Since all I ever care for in all those superhero movies are the funny parts, this looks actually appealing. In case the links don't hold, YouTube.
Locke HD720p 13MB
UK trailer for this very interesting looking movie that entirely takes place in pretty much real-time during a drive at night in a car. Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy) has worked hard to craft a good life for himself. Tonight, that life will collapse around him. On the eve of the biggest challenge of his career (he works on a building site), he receives a phone call that sets in motion a series of events that will unravel his family, job, and soul. Voices on the phone come from Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson and Andrew Scott. Written and directed by Steven Knight who wrote the screenplays for Eastern Promises and Dirty Pretty Things.
Unbroken HD720p 44MB
Promo trailer for the second directorial effort of Angelina Jolie. It's an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis Zamperini (Jack O'Connell) who, along with two other crewmen (Domhnall Gleeson, Finn Wittrock), survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII—only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. The Coen Brothers are listed to have re-worked the screenplay. But since this looks about as far away from a Coen Brothers movie as you can imagine, the third writer credited, Richard LaGravenese, who was responsible for inspirational tearjerkers like P.S. I Love You and and Freedom Writers, seems to be the main influence.
To be in theatres ... next Christmas.
Drive Hard HD720p 41MB
Comedic action movie about an American thief (John Cusack) who arrives in a foreign country in need of a getaway driver. Rather than recruit one from the underworld, he takes a driving lesson from ex F-1 champion Peter Roberts (Thomas Jane), now working as a driving instructor. After he robs a bank during the lesson, Roberts has no choice, but to use his driving talent to get away from pursuing police and mobsters.
So silly, it could actually be fun. Though I increasingly suspect that Cusack has similar tax problems as Nicolas Cage.
Particle Fever HD480p 25MB HD720p 39MB
Documentary that follows six brilliant scientists during the launch of the Large Hadron Collider, marking the start-up of the biggest and most expensive experiment in the history of the planet, pushing the edge of human innovation. As they seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe, 10,000 scientists from over 100 countries joined forces in pursuit of a single goal: to recreate conditions that existed just moments after the Big Bang and find the Higgs boson, potentially explaining the origin of all matter.
For those worried about these experiments I strongly recommend bookmarking this helpful link.
