Set in 1855, three women who lost their reason are driven from their village, and assigned to Mary Bee Cuddy (Hilary Swank), a strong and independent pioneer from Nebraska. On their way to Iowa, where the women can find refuge, she crosses paths with a vagabond bumpkin (Jones) she saves him from imminent death. They decide to join forces to face together the harshness and dangers that plague the vast expanses of the Frontier. Also part of the cast are Meryl Streep, James Spader, John Lithgow, Tim Blake Nelson, David Dencik, Hailee Steinfeld and William Fichtner. And the guy around the 45 second mark looks a lot like Matt Damon.

It's a drama that looks at Hollywood and what it reveals about Western culture. Led by the loathsome yet funny and touching child-star Benjie (Evan Bird), we witness the convoluted world of shallow, selfish celebrities and their minions, all of whom are about to be manipulated and destroyed by the young woman who literally represents the fruit of their twisted machinations, Agatha (Mia Wasikowska), Benjie's tormented, apparently psychotic sister. Also part of the cast are Julianne Moore, Robert Pattinson, John Cusack, Olivia Williams and Sarah Gadon.
I hope the summary is correct.
