Jersey Boys HD480p 45MB HD720p 115MB
Big screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical that tells the story of the four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic '60s rock group The Four Seasons. Their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the hit songs that influenced a generation. Cast consists of many performers from the various musical productions, but also Christopher Walken. Interestingly, directed by Clint Eastwood (Mystic River, Bird, Invictus).
I hope I can be forgiven if I don't really see the appeal of those singing voices.
The Rover HD720p 60MB
Intense full trailer for the second movie co-written and directed by David Michôd (Animal Kingdom). Drama set in the Australian desert in a dangerous and dysfunctional near future. A man (Guy Pearce) has left everything and every semblance of human kindness behind him. When his last possession, his car, is stolen by a gang of dangerous criminals, he sets off to track them down and is forced along the way to enlist the help of the naive member (Robert Pattinson) of the gang left behind in the bloody chaos of the gang's most recent escape.
Looks about as much "fun" as Animal Kingdom. Looking forward to it. Movie will premiere next month in Cannes.
The Captive HD720p 16MB
Short, but disturbing trailer for this psychological thriller in which a pick up truck pulls off the highway at a diner. Confident that his young daughter is safe in the back seat and promising to return with ice cream, the father (Ryan Reynolds) slips out of his truck and into the diner. When he returns, she is gone. The movie examines how a kidnapping destroys the relationships among those involved. As it teases out the complex threads weaving together the victim, her family (Mireille Enos), the predators (Kevin Durand) and the investigators (Rosario Dawson), the mystery of what happened to the child, during the eight years she was missing, is revealed. Scott Speedman and Bruce Greenwood are also part of the cast. Directed by Atom Egoyan (The Sweet Hereafter, Adoration, Where the Truth Lies).
Movie will take part in the official competition in Cannes. The full list of movies was released earlier this week.
The Final Member HD480p 19MB HD720p 30MB
Documentary about the world's only museum devoted exclusively to painstakingly preserved male genitalia, domiciled in diminutive village in Iceland on the fringe of the Arctic Circle. Founded and curated by Sigurður “Siggi” Hjartarson, the Icelandic Phallological Museum houses four decades worth of mammalian members, from a petite field mouse to the colossal sperm whale, and every "thing" in between. But, lamentably, his collection lacks the holy grail of phallic phantasmagoria: a human specimen. Siggi's world changes dramatically when he receives generous offers from an elderly Icelandic Casanova and an eccentric American. However, as the competition for eternal penile preservation heats up between the two men, Siggi soon discovers that this process is more complicated than it initially appeared.
Doc is now in limited release in the US and reviews indicate that it's a quite entertaining but also revealing watch.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 HD480p 60MB HD720p 102MB HD1080p 178MB
Second full trailer for the sequel that takes place five years later. While Astrid (America Ferrera), Snoutlout (Jonah Hill) and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island's new favourite contact sport), the now inseparable Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and Toothless journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Again directed by Dean DeBlois (Lilo & Stitch).
As it was the case with the previous trailer, it gives away a lot of the story. But the way it is treated I would assume that it happens very early in the movie anyway.
