US trailer for the upcoming second collaboration of Tom Hanks with Tom Tykwer (The International, Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run), an adaptation of a novel by Dave Eggers. Cultures collide when an American businessman (Tom Hanks) is sent to Saudi Arabia to close what he hopes will be the deal of a lifetime. Baffled by local customs and stymied by an opaque bureaucracy, he eventually finds his footing with the help of a wise-cracking taxi driver (Alexander Black) and a beautiful Saudi doctor (Sarita Choudhury). Sidse Babett Knudsen and Tom Skerritt are also part of the cast.

Another nice full trailer for the next stop-motion animated movie from Laika Studios (Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls). It's an epic action-adventure set in a fantastical Japan. Clever, kindhearted Kubo (Art Parkinson) ekes out a humble living, telling stories to the people of his seaside town. But his relatively quiet existence is shattered when he accidentally summons a spirit from his past which storms down from the heavens to enforce an age-old vendetta. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey), and sets out on a thrilling quest to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known. With the help of his shamisen - a magical musical instrument - Kubo must battle gods and monsters, including the vengeful Moon King (Ralph Fiennes) and the evil twin Sisters (Rooney Mara) to unlock the secret of his legacy, reunite his family and fulfill his heroic destiny.

Thriller drama about a once-successful novelist (James Franco) paralysed by writer's block and an escalating Adderall dependency, who becomes obsessed with a high-profile murder case as a way to escape his personal troubles. His interest leads him to meet a smart, sexy reporter (Amber Heard) who gives him unique access to the case. As their relationship takes off, he is suddenly thrust back into the past when his father (Ed Harris), a cruel and vindictive man, shows up to challenge the veracity of the memoir he is writing. Christian Slater and Cynthia Nixon are also part of the cast.
Festival reviews mostly haven't been too kind.

The generic summary so far reads: Scrat's epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, travelling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colourful new characters. New additios to the voice cast will be Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine and Max Greenfield.
Half Sister, Full Love - Et Ta Soeur HD720p 13MB
Comedic drama from France about a young man (Grégoire Ludig) who is still suffering after his brother's recent death, who accepts his best friend (Géraldine Nakache) invitation to recuperate at her family home in the French countryside, only to find the house already occupied by her heart-broken sister (Virginie Efira).
If that plot summary sounds familiar that's because it is a French remake of Lynn Shelton's Your Sister's Sister that starred Mark Duplass, Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt. And it is apparently not a really successful affair. But I thought I'll include it because of the curiosity value.
