Great visuals, could do without the annoying promo interview snippets.

Seems like to be worth a look.

Full trailer for the movie adaptation of the children's fantasy novel by Patrick Ness. 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother's (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith. Liam Neeson lends his voice to the monster, Sigourney Weaver plays the maternal grandmother. Directed by J.A. Bayona (The Impossible, The Orphanage).
It'll be interesting to see how this much darker (and much less appealing) looking movie will perform compared to the surprising commercial failure (relative to expectations) of the critically well-received The BFG.

Quiet drama in which, after his wife (Hani Furstenberg) dies in a tragic car accident, a young man (David Oyelowo) is called to Maine by his terminally ill and estranged mother-in-law (Dianne Wiest). Grappling with a lifetime of disagreements, the two find themselves forced to cope with their failings and grief in a quiet journey of empathy, compassion and healing. Rosie Perez and Teyonah Parris are also part of the cast.
The whole movie apparently is as restrained as the trailer, but it may be of interest because of the acting performances of the two leads.
