As Kate investigates Chubbuck's story, uncovering new clues and information, she becomes increasingly obsessed with her subject.
If you want to add another layer, Rebecca Hall plays the newscaster in a movie called Christine, which also premiered in Sundance, where it was equally well received, and that will have a US release next month. Kate Plays Christine is already in limited release in the US.

It could be that the Weinsteins may try to push this for awards, but judging just from the trailer I have some doubts that will work. But since nobody has seen it yet, it's hard to tell.
