Comedy in which on the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher (Charlie Day) is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague (Ice Cube), who challenges him to an old-fashioned throw down after school. News of the fight spreads like wildfire. Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Christina Hendricks and Kumail Nanjiani are also part of the cast.
At least the trailer looks pretty funny. Though I find the habit of putting snippets of the trailer in front of the actual trailer annoying.

Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae) working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big. Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge and Kevin Costner are also part of the cast. Directed by Ted Melfi (St. Vincent).
While the general release will only be on the Martin Luther King holiday weekend in January, there will be screenings in December to make the movie fulfil the necessary conditions to be eligible for awards.

Inspired by the Church's use of filming techniques, and aided by ex-members of the organisation Louis Theroux uses actors to replay some incidents people claim they experienced as members in an attempt to better understand the way it operates. In a bizarre twist, it becomes clear that the Church is also making a film about Theroux.
If by now you haven't already reached the conclusion that Scientology looks a lot like an absurd, dangerous cult then I'm not sure if another documentary will change your mind. Though maybe using a more playful - but nevertheless still serious - approach may help. If you don't want to wait for the doc, I recommend tracking down Going Clear.

Despite its two lead actors it got mostly bad reviews in Toronto.
