Phantom Thread     HD720p 86MB
Trailer for the latest movie written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, The Master, Magnolia). Set in the glamour of 1950’s post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister (Lesley Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites and debutants with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love.
While I think he said it before, maybe Day-Lewis this time means it that this will be his last role.

The Shape of Water     HD1080p 37MB
(Barely) Redband trailer for this other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963, directed by Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Pacific Rim, Hellboy). In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Her life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Doug Jones, Michael Shannon, Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Jenkins are also part of the cast.
Del Toro got awarded the Golden Lion last month in Venice for this film.

Journey's End     HD1080p 43MB
UK trailer for this film adaptation of a play set in March, 1918. C-company arrives to take its turn in the front-line trenches in northern France led by the war-weary Captain Stanhope (Sam Claflin). A German offensive is imminent, and the officers (Paul Bettany, Stephen Graham Tom Sturridge) and their cook (Toby Jones) distract themselves in their dugout with talk of food and their past lives. Stanhope, meanwhile, soaks his fear in whisky, unable to deal with his dread of the inevitable. A young new officer (Asa Butterfield) has just arrived, fresh out of training and abuzz with the excitement of his first real posting – not least because he is to serve under Stanhope, his former school house monitor and the object of his sister’s affections. Each man is trapped, the days ticking by, the tension rising and the attack drawing ever closer. Directed by Saul Dibb (The Duchess, Suite Française).

I Love You, Daddy     HD720p 46MB
Bittersweet comedy in black-and-white set in New York with a sweeping score (like, for example, Woody Allen's Manhattan) about successful TV writer/producer Glen Topher (Louis C.K.), who panics when his spoiled 17-year-old daughter China (Chloë Grace Moretz) starts spending time with 68-year-old Leslie Goodwin (John Malkovich), a legendary film director with a reputation for dating underage girls. Helen Hunt, Rose Byrne, Charlie Day and Edie Falco are also part of the cast. Also directed (and edited) by Louis C.K. (Pootie Tang).
I don't know much about Louis C.K., but from what I've read he doesn't seem to mind touching hot button issues. The timing of the release of this movie will probably test how much heat he'll be able to enjoy.

Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond     HD1080p 41MB
To be precise, the full title of this documentary is "Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond - The Story of Jim Carrey & Andy Kaufman Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton". It offers a behind-the-scenes look at how in 1999 Jim Carrey adopted the persona of idiosyncratic comedian Andy Kaufman on the set of Man on the Moon.
Looks very entertaining and highly "meta". Will start streaming on Netflix November 17th.
