Idina Menzel, Eric Bogosian and Lakeith Stanfield are also part of the cast. Directed by the Safdie brothers who also were responsible for Good Time which starred Robert Pattinson in a similarly unconventional role.
Judging by festival reviews, the trailer doesn't even do justice to the intensity of the film. They also uniformly mention that Sandler gives one of his remarkable serious performances that he's sometimes capable of giving.
