"Monsterverse" crossover sequel in which these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. Among the extras who will appear between the CGI effects are Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir.
Set for a theatrical release in March, but will also be available on HBO Max.

Comedy in which, after her husband (Matthew Modine) goes missing, Sue Buttons (Allison Janney), an under-appreciated suburban wife, gets a taste of being a local celebrity as she embarks on a city-wide search in Yuba County to find him. In an effort to prolong her newfound fame, she stumbles into hilarious hi jinks as her world turns upside down, dodging a wanna-be mobster (Awkwafina), a relentless local policewoman (Regina Hall), her half-sister (Mila Kunis) a local news reporter desperate for a story, and her husband's dead-beat brother (Jimmi Simpson), who all set out to uncover the truth behind the disappearance. Wanda Sykes, Juliette Lewis, Samira Wiley, Clifton Collins Jr. and Ellen Barkin are also part of the cast. Directed by Tate Taylor (The Girl on the Train, The Help, Get on Up).
Looks worth watching for the hair-dos alone.

Drama about a young man named Cherry (Tom Holland) from Ohio who drifts from dropping out of college to serving in Iraq as an army medic and is only anchored by his one true love Emily (Ciara Bravo). When he returns home a war hero, he battles the demons of undiagnosed PTSD and spirals into drug addiction, surrounding himself with a menagerie of depraved misfits. Draining his finances, he turns to bank robbing to fund his addiction, shattering his relationship with Emily along the way. Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo (Welcome to Collinwood, You Me and Dupree, and a couple of Marvel movies).
I have no idea what to make of this. After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on AppleTV+ March 12th.

Mind-bending love story that follows Greg (Owen Wilson) who, after recently being divorced and then fired, meets the mysterious Isabel (Salma Hayek), a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is a computer simulation. Written and directed by Mike Cahill (Another Earth, I Origins).
I obviously haven't seen the movie, but my first reaction is that Wilson and Hayek seem to be miscast. Will start streaming on Amazon Prime February 5th.
