This reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Rachel Zegler (María); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); Ana Isabelle (Rosalía); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); and Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works). Directed by Steven Spielberg (Ready Player One, War of the Worlds, Raiders of the Lost Ark), screenplay by Tony Kushner (Lincoln, Munich, Angels in America).
It's early, but the main question that I have is, why? In general, and Ansel Elgort in particular.

Animated action adventure family comedy about a quirky, dysfunctional family's road trip that is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity’s unlikeliest last hope! Voices are provided by Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, Fred Armisen, Conan O'Brien and Charlyne Yi. The co-directors are not very well known, but it's produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). Which explains the frantic pace of the trailer.
Early reviews are very good. Now streaming on Netflix.

After being sold out by a traitor, the team finds themselves surrounded by threats on all sides from the moment they parachute into the mission. Will the agents break the impasse and complete their mission?
