Full trailer for a hilarious looking comedy directed by Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) that stars 2 (two!) Grammy winners. Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem — it's on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), the two embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). Mark Rylance, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi and Timothée Chalalala are also part of the cast.

According to (mostly favourable) festival reviews this movie is hard to categorise. But it's apparently much more an emotional, almost philosophical, personal film than another sci-fi action movie.

Directorial debut of Graham Moore who an Oscar for his adapted screenplay for The Imitation Game.

Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee's protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter-an unfortunate reality for the teenager. Written and directed by Domee Shi who won an Oscar for her short Bao.
This looks very funny.
