After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Even worse, there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Dustin Hoffman and Ian McShane will also return. New voices will be provided by Awkwafina and Ke Huy Quan.

Love Lies Bleeding     HD1080p 22MB
Crime drama and love story about reclusive gym manager Lou (Kristen Stewart) who falls hard for Jackie (Katy O'Brian), an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Las Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family. Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco and Ed Harris are also part of the cast.
Will at least be remembered for its hair-styles. Will premiere next month in Sundance.

The Kitchen     HD720p 32MB
Drama with some action elements set in a dystopian near-future in London, Izi (Kane Robinson) lives a solitary existence. Working at an ecological funeral home he keeps to himself, biding his time until he can leave "The Kitchen" – one of the last surviving social housing communities in the capital – and move into a luxury apartment building. When Benji, the orphaned son of his ex-girlfriend, enters his world, Izi slowly steps up to take care of him. As the people of The Kitchen fight back against the corporate powers trying to destroy it, Izi is forced to choose between himself and the community. The cast is not well known, but it marks the (co-)directorial debut of Daniel Kaluuya.
Was well received at festivals. Will start streaming on Netflix January 19th.

The Goldfinger - Jin shouzhi     HD720p 19MB
Short trailer for this glossy crime thriller from Hong Kong set in the 1980s based on real events that reunites Andy Lau and Tony Leung. When a stock market crash causes the sudden collapse of a multi-billion-dollar company, an ICAC investigator (Lau) uncovers a criminal conspiracy involving the company’s founder, Ching Yat-yin (Leung), and becomes entangled in a long-running investigation. Simon Yam and Charlene Choi are also part of the cast. Directed by Felix Chong who was a co-writer of Infernal Affairs (later remade as The Departed) that starred Lau aund Leung.

Another trailer for this comedic religious drama, according to festival reviews, somewhere between Life of Brian and earnest bible films. Unlike some members of the Jerusalem community in AD33, Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) is not the most spiritual of citizens. Seemingly unmoved by Jesus Christ’s message of peace and brotherly love, Clarence sees a perfect window of opportunity to take advantage of a nascent celebrity culture. But at what cost to his eternal soul? Also part of the cast are Omar Sy, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch. Written and directed by Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall).

On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. Returning cast members include Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman and Jena Malone. Again directed by Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, 300, Sucker Punch).
I hope the summary makes at least a little bit of sense to those who've seen the first part. Will start streaming on Netflix April 19th.

Directorial debut of Zelda Williams, daughter of Robin. And written by Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer's Body, Young Adult).

Comedic drama set in 1970s Korea, in which Director Kim (Song Kang-ho) is obsessed by the desire to re-shoot the ending of his completed film 'Cobweb', but chaos and turmoil grip the set with interference from the censorship authorities, and the complaints of actors and producers who can't understand the re-written ending. Will Kim be able to find a way through this chaos to fulfill his artistic ambitions and complete his masterpiece? Directed by Kim Jee-Woon (A Bittersweet Life, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Good the Bad the Weird).

Sci-fi drama in which six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late. Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin and Isabella Rossellini are also part of the cast. Directed by Johan Renck ("Chernobyl").

Animated comedic drama that follows Orion (Jacob Tremblay), a young boy who is afraid of heights, pets, cell phone waves, murderous gutter clowns, and rendered nearly catatonic by the worst of all perils: the dark. The Dark (Paul Walter Hauser) takes Orion on a nighttime trip to prove to the youngster that the only thing to fear is fear itself. Further voices are provided by Werner Herzog, Colin Hanks, Ike Barinholtz, Angela Bassett, Natasia Demetriou and Nat Faxon. It's based on a book by Emma Yarlett, but it's noteworthy that Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche New York, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich) worked on the screenplay.
