Joker: Folie à Deux HD720p 25MB
First trailer for the sequel, again directed by Todd Phillips (The Hangover, War Dogs, Old School), to be in theatres in October. There's no official summary, but the second mad, central character hinted at in the title is Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga), the psychotherapist who meets the Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) at the Arkham Mental Health Facility. Zazie Beetz returns, new cast additions are Steve Coogan, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener.
Kinds of Kindness Tsr1 HD720p 11MB Tsr2 HD720p 5MB
Two very short teasers for the new movie directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite, Dogtooth), that do an excellent job at what they are supposed to do, to tease. I could watch both of them in a loop. It's a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader. Cast members include Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer.
Movie will take part in the official competition at Cannes next month. Most of the line-up was revealed this week.
Fly Me to the Moon HD720p 32MB
Comedic drama film set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s (Channing Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up and the countdown truly begins. Jim Rash, Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson are also part of the cast.
As Kubrick gets mentioned at the end of the trailer, I can recommend watching the mockumentary Dark Side of the Moon. Or the doc Apollo 11 that gives a very good first-hand impression of what an utterly insane undertaking the first moon landing was.
Under Paris - Sous la Seine HD1080p 31MB
Some B-movie madness that will properly set you up for the opening ceremony for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris. Sophia (Bérénice Bejo), a brilliant scientist comes to know that a large shark is swimming deep in the river Seine. Directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman).
Will start streaming on Netflix June 5th.
The Bikeriders HD720p 34MB
Drama that follows the rise of a fictional 1960s Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members. Kathy (Jodie Comer), a strong-willed member of the Vandals who’s married to a wild, reckless bikerider named Benny (Austin Butler), recounts the Vandals’ evolution over the course of a decade, beginning as a local club of outsiders united by good times, rumbling bikes, and respect for their strong, steady leader Johnny (Tom Hardy). Over the years, Kathy tries her best to navigate her husband’s untamed nature and his allegiance to Johnny, with whom she feels she must compete for Benny’s attention. Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus and Boyd Holbrook are also part of the cast. Directed by Jeff Nichols (Mud, Take Shelter, Midnight Special).
Release got delayed by Hollywood strikes. So since the first trailer already came out last September we get a new one.
