Thunderbolts* HD720p 31MB
First, extended trailer for another film set in the MCU, to be in theatres next May. The familiar description so far says that a group of supervillains are recruited to go on missions for the government. Returning actors and characters from previous movies and TV series include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Rachel Weisz as Melina and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Directed by Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank).
Gladiator II HD720p 37MB
A second trailer for the sequel, almost 25 years after the first film. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, he must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people. Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi will return. New cast additions besides Mescal are Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington. Again directed by Ridley Scott (The Martian, American Gangster, Kingdom of Heaven).
Scott turns 87 later this year. Not a lot of people around in Hollywood who are capable of producing movies on such a scale on a regular basis.
Rumours HD720p 32MB
Redband trailer for this hard to describe absurd satire about the seven leaders (Cate Blanchett, Charles Dance, Roy Dupuis, Denis Menochet, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Rolando Ravello, Takehiro Hira) of the world’s wealthiest liberal democracies who, at their annual G7 summit, lost in the woods at night, while attempting to draft their provisional statement filled with platitudes and nonsense and addressing an unnamed crisis, don’t realize they’ve been abandoned by their servers. Alicia Vikander and Zlatko Buric are also part of the cast. Directed by Canadian trio Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson and Galen Johnson (The Saddest Music in the World, The Forbidden Room, The Green Fog).
Saturday Night HD720p 33MB
Another amusing trailer for this comedy set on October 11, 1975, when a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television – and culture – forever. The true story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live. Full of humor, chaos, and the magic of a revolution that almost wasn't, we count down the minutes in real time until we hear those famous words... Cast members include Dylan O'Brien, Lamorne Morris, Gabriel LaBelle, Rachel Sennott, Finn Wolfhard, J.K. Simmons and Willem Dafoe. Directed by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air, Tully).
Festival reviews were a bit mixed.
Sinners HD720p 16MB
Horror thriller set during the Jim Crow-era South, written and directed by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed, Fruitvale Station). Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Michael B. Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Benson Miller, Hailee Steinfeld and Jack O'Connell are also part of the cast.
