Mood Indigo - L'écume des jours     720p 29MB    YouTube
First trailer from France (with very little dialogue) for the latest movie from Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine, The Science of Sleep, Be Kind Rewind) made in his typical whimsical style. It's a magical love story based on the novel by Boris Vian. Colin (Romain Duris) is a rich young man, idealistic and creative who lives in a nice apartment with a mischievous little mouse. He wants, above all, to meet his great love. He envies his friend Chick (Gad Elmaleh), a poor engineer who lives with Alise (Aïssa Maïga). Alise is also the niece of a brilliant chef (Omar Sy). They all want Colin to find someone and at a big party he meets Chloe (Audrey Tautou). It is love at first sight and the two marry. But during their honeymoon, she falls ill. A doctor diagnoses the presence of a water lily in her right lung.
Visual ideas for about a half a dozen movies.

Inside Llewyn Davis     720p 27MB    YouTube
An early promo trailer for the latest movie written and directed by Ethan and Joel Coen (A Serious Man, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Miller's Crossing). It's about a singer-songwriter (Oscar Isaac) who navigates New York's folk music scene during the 1960s. It is said to be based on the life of musician Dave van Ronk, who played a part in the Greenwich Village coffeehouse scene. Also part of the cast are Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake, F. Murray Abraham and Garrett Hedlund.
While it has some Coen touches it so far doesn't seem to fit into the usual Coen Brothers categories.

The Playroom     HD480p 38MB   HD720p 68MB
Coming-of-Age drama set in the suburbs during the 1970s. The story unfolds like a dream wrapped around a family drama, one in which all members of the Cantwell family struggle to find their way in a rapidly changing world. Maggie (Olivia Harris) is a vulnerable yet tempestuous teenager who acts as big sister and surrogate mother to her three younger siblings. Upstairs in the attic she tells them fantastical stories, but only to mask what is happening downstairs. As her hard-drinking parents (John Hawkes, Molly Parker) entertain guests, she grapples with their flawed choices and is thrust into a world she might not be ready for.
Close to impossible not to think of The Ice Storm when watching the trailer.

The Taste of Money - Do-nui mat     HD720p 78MB
For the friends of stylish Korean movies, this time in the form of a family drama. In a mansion on the outskirts of Seoul lives one of the richest families in the entire country. Yoon is the president of a powerful conglomerate, but it's his wife Madame Baek that is really in control. Her personal secretary Young-jak, a handsome young man newly introduced to the world of power, deals with the families immoral – and frequently illegal – activities. But everything changes when Madame Baek catches her husband having an affair with their Filipino maid and exacts her revenge by seducing Young-jak. Directed by Im Sang-soo (The Housemaid, The President's Last Bang).
Movie is now in limited release in the US and available on demand.

The Sweeney     HD540p 31MB    Online HD
The US trailer for the big screen adaptation of a classic 1970s hard-hitting British cop drama. It stars Ray Winstone as a no-nonsense policeman Jack Regan. The original series is apparently credited with revolutionising the TV cop show genre, portraying the detectives as tough roustabouts who liked a drink and some fisticuffs as much as the criminals they were chasing. Also part of the cast are Damian Lewis, Hayley Atwell and Steven Mackintosh.
