Vox Lux HD720p 34MB
Satirical music drama that begins in 1999 when teenage sisters Celeste (Raffey Cassidy) and Eleanor (Stacy Martin) survive a seismic, violent tragedy. The sisters compose and perform a song about their experience, making something lovely and cathartic out of catastrophe - while also catapulting Celeste to stardom. By 2017, the now 31-year-old Celeste (Natalie Portman) is mother to a teenage daughter of her own and struggling to navigate a career fraught with scandals when another act of terrifying violence demands her attention. Jude Law and Jennifer Ehle are also part of the cast. Written and directed by Brady Corbet (The Childhood of a Leader).
Trailer is probably insofar misleading as the movie is indeed split in half. And the trailer (understandably) mostly focuses on Portman's much lauded performance.
Jonathan HD720p 78MB
Sci-fi-tinged drama about Jonathan (Ansel Elgort) who lives a mundane life. He goes to work. He eats alone. He plays video games, and he swaps video messages daily with John, with whom he shares a modest apartment. The lives of the two are entwined, though not quite in the way it might initially seem. So when John breaks one of the ironclad rules that govern their ordered lives, their structured existence, their increasingly suspicious doctor (Patricia Clarkson), and their own individual autonomy threaten to collide. Suki Waterhouse, Douglas Hodge and Matthew Bomer are also part of the cast.
Looks intriguing.
In a Relationship HD720p 75MB
Comedic relationship drama about two couples. When long time couple Owen and Hallie (Emma Roberts, Michael Angarano) decide to take a break, their friends Matt and Willa (Patrick Gibson, Dree Hemingway) embark on an unexpected romance of their own. The two couples’ fates intertwine over the course of a single summer in Los Angeles.
According to festival reviews it's not that bad.
Working Woman - Isha Ovedet HD720p 63MB
Drama from Israel about workplace sexual harassment that centers on Orna, a young Israeli mother of three whose successes at work are accompanied by increasingly overt advances by her boss. As his restaurant is struggling, Orna's chef husband has limited capacity for sympathy, treating her with first suspicion and then resentment.
This looks very compelling. And timely. Female director Michal Aviad has a background in documentaries.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World HD720p 92MB
Second trailer for the third, and possible final movie of the animated series. Again directed by Director Dean DeBlois. Now chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid (America Ferrera), Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) has created a gloriously chaotic dragon utopia. When the sudden appearance of female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they’ve known and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. More voices will be provided by Craig Ferguson, F. Murray Abraham, Cate Blanchett, Kit Harington, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller, Djimon Hounsou and Gerard Butler.
