Nightmare Alley HD720p 26MB
First, short trailer for the latest mystery drama directed by Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Crimson Peak). It's about an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words who hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is. The star-studded cast also consists of Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman and David Strathairn
West Side Story HD720p 95MB
Full trailer for the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City, to be in theatres in December. This reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Rachel Zegler (María); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); Ana Isabelle (Rosalía); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); and Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works). Directed by Steven Spielberg (Ready Player One, War of the Worlds, Raiders of the Lost Ark), screenplay by Tony Kushner (Lincoln, Munich, Angels in America).
I first wanted to ask if a movie that won 10 Oscars has ever been remade. But then I remembered that they made another Ben Hur. Not that I want to compare Spielberg with Timur Bekmambetov.
Old Henry HD720p 101MB
Old-fashioned, minimalistic action Western about a widowed farmer (Tim Blake Nelson) and his son who warily take in a mysterious, injured man with a satchel of cash. When a posse of men (among them Stephen Dorff) claiming to be the law come for the money, the farmer must decide whom to trust.
Provides a well-deserved starring role for Tim Blake Nelson. Was well received in Venice.
Belfast HD720p 78MB
A poignant story of love, laughter and loss in one boy’s childhood, amid the music and social tumult of the late 1960s. Written and directed, filmed in black and white, by Kenneth Branagh (Much Ado About Nothing, Thor, Cinderella), based on the memory and experience of his own childhood in Belfast. Jamie Dornan and Caitríona Balfe play the kid's parents, Judi Dench and Ciarán Hinds his grandparents.
Lamb HD1080p 10MB
Short trailer for this mystery horror about a Icelandic couple (Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snaer Gudnason) who live with their herd of sheep on a beautiful but remote farm. When they discover a mysterious newborn on their farmland, they decide to keep it. They soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature.
The dark and atmospheric folktale was awarded the "Prize of Originality" in a festival subsection this year in Cannes. There's also a longer US trailer that already reveals much more: HD720p 89MB.

Did ya know Kenneth Branagh appears to be trying his hand at Poirot again?

Re: I did. :)
Date: 20 Sep 2021 11:15 (UTC)I don't mind so much Branagh's acting choices, but I was seriously surprised when about a decade ago he started directing movies like Thor and Cinderella. Though I suspect it's so that it's easier for him to get funding for smaller, more personal projects inbetween. Like Belfast.
Lamb: I'm very undecided if I want to watch it. :)
