Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One HD720p 85MB HD1080p 143MB
An early first trailer for the seventh entry in the long-running Mission: Impossible franchise, to be in theatre in July next year. There's no official plot summary available yet. But it's probably not necessary. Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and also Vanessa Kirby return. New cast additions are Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham and Cary Elwes. Again directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
Even when measured against what one tends to already expect from this franchise, this is an impressive looking trailer.
Three Thousand Years of Longing HD720p 97MB
Adult fairy tale centring on Dr Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton), an academic, content with life and a creature of reason. While in Istanbul attending a conference, she happens to encounter a Djinn (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. This presents two problems. First, she doubts that he is real and second, because she is a scholar of story and mythology, she knows all the cautionary tales of wishes gone wrong. The Djinn pleads his case by telling her fantastical stories of his past. Eventually she is beguiled and makes a wish that surprises them both. Directed by ... George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road, Happy Feet, Babe: Pig in the City).
Left audiences in Cannes a bit bewildered, but trailer sure looks amusing.
Spiderhead HD720p 29MB
Psychological thriller set in a state-of-the-art penitentiary run by brilliant visionary Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth), where inmates wear a surgically attached device that administers dosages of mind-altering drugs in exchange for commuted sentences. There are no bars, no cells, or orange jumpsuits. In Spiderhead, incarcerated volunteers are free to be themselves. Until they're not. At times, they're a better version. Need to lighten up? There's a drug for that. At a loss for words? There's a drug for that, too. But when two subjects (Miles Teller, Jurnee Smollett), form a connection, their path to redemption take a twistier turn. Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion, TRON: Legacy). Based on a short story, but adapted by the two guys who wrote the screenplays for Deadpool and Zombieland.
Will start streaming on Netflix starting June 17th.
Elvis HD720p 131MB
A second full trailer for the first movie directed by Baz Luhrmann (The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet) in quite some time, it will premiere tomorrow in Cannes. It explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge). Kodi Smit-McPhee, Richard Roxburgh, David Wenham and Kelvin Harrison Jr. are also part of the cast.
Brian and Charles HD720p 96MB
Comedic drama, expanded from a short film, that follows Brian, a lonely inventor in rural Wales, who spends his days building quirky, unconventional contraptions that seldom work. Undeterred by his lack of success, he attempts his biggest project yet. Three days, a washing machine, and various spare parts later, he’s invented Charles, an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages. What follows is a humorous and entirely heartwarming story about friendship, family, finding love, and letting go.
It's a Sundance festival movie.

Spiderhead looks amusing, but possibly too dark for me at the moment.
Elvis looks amazing. Baz Luhrmann clearly sent here from his homeworld to make this movie.
I don't think I've seen many trailers more English than Brian and Charles. It's not my thing, but it's definitely being what it wants to be :-)

That's good to know. :)

The problem of having to condense a whole life (or at least a few decades) into a movie and trying to create a compelling narrative. And the attempts to impersonate a person, especially when there is lots of real footage available. My response is usually that I want/prefer to see a documentary instead of a "biopic".
