Black Panther: Wakanda Forever     HD720p 88MB   HD1080p 146MB
Full trailer for the sequel that will have to deal with the still hard to grasp, unexpected loss of lead actor Chadwick Boseman. Many of the other cast members will return, like, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Martin Freeman and Florence Kasumba. Again directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station), to be in theatres next month.

Emancipation     HD720p 19MB
Historical drama inspired by a true story about a runaway slave (Will Smith) who forges through the swamps of Louisiana on a tortuous journey to escape plantation owners that nearly killed him to reunite with his family. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer, King Arthur, Training Day).
Will Will Smith be eligible for an Oscar nomination? After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on AppleTV+ starting December 9th.

Decision to Leave - Heojil Kyolshim     HD720p 72MB
Much different US trailer for the latest movie directed by Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Stoker, The Handmaiden). It's a mysterious crime drama about a detective (Park Hae-il) investigating a man's death in the mountains who meets the dead man's mysterious wife (Tang Wei) in the course of his dogged sleuthing.
Was very well received in Cannes.

The School for Good and Evil     HD720p 37MB
Fantasy movie set in the village of Gavaldon, about two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), who share the unlikeliest of bonds. Sophie, a golden-haired seamstress, dreams of escaping her dreary life to become a princess, while Agatha, with her grim aesthetic and offbeat mother, has the makings of a real witch. One night under a blood red moon, a powerful force sweeps them away to the School for Good and Evil — where the true stories behind every great fairy tale begin. Among the better know cast members are Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Laurence Fishburne and Michelle Yeoh. Directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, A Simple Favor, Spy).
Will start streaming on Netflix October 19th.

Raymond & Ray     HD720p 85MB
Drama about two half brothers Raymond (Ewan McGregor) and Ray (Ethan Hawke) who reunite when their estranged father dies - and discover that his final wish was for them to dig his grave. Together, they process who they’ve become as men, both because of their father and in spite of him. Maribel Verdú and Sophie Okonedo are also part of the cast. Written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs, Last Days in the Desert, Nine Lives).
Festival reviews are very mixed, interest will probably depend on how much one likes the two leads. After a limited theatrical release, will start streaming on AppleTV+ October 21st.

When I was a kid if someone had shown me this post, with Wakanda and a flight from slavery at the top of upcoming movie listings, I might have died of joy. I am SO looking forward to these movies.

Wakanda Forever looks entertaining. I'll give it a go, when we get back to Marvel movies.
Emancipation looks hard to watch, but I hope that Will Smith gets the Oscar nomination and appreciation. He deserves it.
Decision To Leave looks amazing. Park Chan-wook is just so good.
The School for Good and Evil - I didn't want to like this. But it was relentlessly charming and exciting, and I may just end up watching it after all!
Raymond & Ray - I liked the two leads and the deadpan writing :-)

"Raymond & Ra" would be an amazing movie, too. Two half-brothers, one of whom is an Egyptian God...

"Raymond & Ray" .... errr

Exactly how much of this was green-screened? In the initial bit where they talk of the passing of their father, it felt like they were not in the same room. At 00:30 - that totally looks like they are NOT in that ... area together.
So much of this looks... green-screened. Really. To me. I've watched it 3 times.

On a personal note: My "grandmother in law" (though this happened before we were married) stipulated in her will that my husband and his mother had to bury her with her husband who preceded her in death at good 5 years. This required them to dig a hold above his grave and drop in her urn.
A remark from my MIL: "She managed to get one last bit of yardwork outta me."
