Comedy about a young man (Adam Scott) who has spent much of his life mediating fights between his acrimoniously divorced, ill-behaved parents (Catherine O'Hara , Richard Jenkins) and taking on the role of designated authority figure to his carefree younger brother, Trey (Clark Duke). Adding insult to injury, a frantic sprint back to his childhood therapist (Jane Lynch) reveals he was a prime subject in her self-help book on the "least-parented, least-nurtured generation" ever. Also part of the cast are Amy Poehler, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jessica Alba.
Festival reviews indicate it should even be funnier given it's excellent cast, but the movie is still hard to resist. Title stands for "Adult Children of Divorce".

Their method: a series of random shootings in public places. Their weapon: a sniper rifle, fired from the trunk of a blue Chevrolet Caprice. The film investigates the genesis of those horrific events from the point of view of the two shooters, whose distorted father-son relationship facilitated their long and bloody journey across America. Tim Blake Nelson and Joey Lauren Adams are also part of the cast.
Not an easy watch, but festival reviews are very good.

The book the movie's based on acted as a catalyst for thousands of adopted Irish children and their 'shamed' mothers to come forward to tell their stories. Directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Dirty Pretty Things, Mrs Henderson Presents).

With him acting as his "manager", the duo quickly finds themselves caught up in the crosscurrents of love and money. Also part of the cast are Sharon Stone, Sofía Vergara, Vanessa Paradis and Liev Schreiber. It's also written and directed by Turturro (Romance & Cigarettes).
Looks a little too "adult" for me.

The middle class represents 70% of spending and is the great stabilizer of our economy. No increase in spending by the rich can make up for it.
If you are interested in economic issues, this looks like a very good doc on this particular topic.
