First, full trailer for this action movie that Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Blade II, Hellboy) went on to make after he left The Hobbit. When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes - a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) - who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Also part of the cast are Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day and Clifton Collins, Jr.
So it's Godzilla meeting the Real Steel Transformers. And who would've thought how much influence that Inception sound bite will have on future trailers.

Intense first, full trailer for the reboot of the reboot of the Superman franchise. This time Henry Cavill plays Superman, Amy Adams will be Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne her editor-in-chief. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe.
An impressive cast, to be sure. Also interesting is the fact that Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer are involved on the writing and production side. So far it even looks as if they were able to keep Zack Snyder's (Watchmen, 300, Sucker Punch) directing in check.

UK trailer for this crime thriller about an ex-criminal (Mark Strong) who is forced to return to London when his son (Elyes Gabel) is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives his nemesis, detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy), one last chance to catch the man he's always been after. As they face off, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy they both need to solve in order to survive. Also part of the cast are David Morrissey, Peter Mullan, Daniel Mays and Andrea Riseborough.
Maybe a few too many shoot outs, but looks very promising, not at least thanks to its cast.

New trailer for another sequel based on toys. This time the G.I. Joe team faces off against Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence. From the first movie Channing Tatum, Byung-hun Lee, Vosloo and Jonathan Pryce return, notable cast additions are Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson. Directed by Jon M. Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Step Up 3D).
Suddenly delayed, almost just like days before the scheduled release last June for transforming it into a 3D release and re-shoots to give Channing Tatum morestripping scenes. At the moment of writing it is now set for a release next March.
