First short trailer for Alfonso Cuarón's (Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Y tu mamá también) first movie in seven years. It's a sci-fi thriller about a brilliant medical engineer (Sandra Bullock) on her first shuttle mission together with a veteran astronaut (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving the two completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.

In a strange coincidence, after posting the trailer for a Danish movie in the previous entry, now we get the Hollywood version about pirates hijacking a ship. Here it's based on the true story of Captain Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks) and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. Directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum, Green Zone, Bloody Sunday).
This makes for an interesting comparison.
The Butler HD480p 27MB HD720p 54MB
Historical drama inspired by an Washington Post article about an African-American man who served as a butler (Forest Whitaker) to eight Presidents in the White House for over thirty years. From this unique vantage point, he traces the dramatic changes that swept American society, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man's life and family. Among the presidents and their wifes we will encounter are the Eisenhowers (Robin Williams, Melissa Leo), the Kennedys (James Marsden, Minka Kelly), Lyndon B. Johnson (Liev Schreiber), Richard Nixon (John Cusack) and the Reagans (Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda). Also part of the cast are Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Lenny Kravitz, Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Redgrave. Directed by Lee Daniels (Precious, The Paperboy, Shadowboxer).
Looks a bit overwhelming. Possibly vying for awards.
The History of Future Folk HD480p 13MB HD720p 22MB
Funny looking, low-budget sci-fi comedy in which a highly decorated soldier from planet Hondo gets sent out to find a new home ... and wipe out the current inhabitants in the process. But when the general lands on Earth, he's entranced by a strange and mystical human invention: music. He immediately abandons his mission, starts a family, and launches a one-alien bluegrass act in a tiny Brooklyn bar. Years later, a bumbling assassin named Kevin arrives to get the mission back on track.
Tiger Eyes HD480p 15MB HD720p 26MB
Coming-of-age drama based on the book by author Judy Blume. It's about a 17 year-old girl (Willa Holland) who abruptly gets relocated by her grieving mother to the strange "atom bomb" town of Los Alamos, New Mexico. With the sudden and violent death of her father, the displaced girl no longer knows who to be or how to fit in. Everything that once mattered suddenly seems insignificant. But when she meets Wolf, a mysterious young Native American, while exploring the surrounding canyons, she feels he is able to see past her pain and into her true self. Directed by Blume's son Lawrence Blume.
