RoboCop     HD480p 18MB   HD720p 82MB
First trailer for the remake directed by Jose Padilha (Tropa de elite). The year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it's meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. Also part of the cast are Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Samuel L. Jackson.
Confession, I've never seen the original.

The Double     HD360p 11MB   HD720p 26MB
Short trailer from the UK for Richard Ayoade's (Submarine) adaptation of Dostoevsky's novella. When Simon (Jesse Eisenberg) gets to work he finds that this double has usurped his tenuous position in the company. Routinely humiliated by his boss (Wallace Shawn), the neurotic Simon now has to deal with a doppelgänger that is everything he isn't: confident, charming, successful, superficial. As Simon, he is fatally ineffectual, unable to communicate his ideas at work even when they're brilliant — and a desperate failure when it comes to the woman of his dreams (Mia Wasikowska). Noah Taylor and Yasmin Paige also return from the cast of Submarine.
Was very well received last week in Toronto.

All is Bright     HD720p 46MB
Comedic drama about two French Canadian ne’er-do-wells who travel to New York City with a scheme to get rich quick selling Christmas trees. Easygoing charmer Rene (Paul Rudd) clashes with misanthropic ex-con Dennis (Paul Giamatti), whose wife Rene just stole. Still, this odd couple must make an honest go of it so they hit the road and set up their lot on a city street corner, settling into a long month of hawking trees. Then Dennis befriends a Russian maid (Sally Hawkins), and a new plan emerges. Directed by Phil Morrison (Junebug).
Nice, though Giamatti and Rudd seem to play very familiar roles.

On the Job     HD480p 26MB   HD720p 79MB
Interesting looking crime thriller from the Philippines that delves deep into the inner-workings of the ingenious hitmen, honest cops, ambitious federal agents, and shady government officials. The film is based on the true scandal that rocked the Philippines where prison inmates were contracted by high-level politicians to temporarily leave jail and conduct a series of assassinations before returning to incarceration.

Plush     HD480p 23MB   HD720p 79MB
Full trailer for this somewhat disturbing looking drama directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Red Riding Hood, Thirteen). After losing her band mate and brother to a drug overdose, rising rock star Hayley (Emily Browning) finds herself in a downward spiral. The second album from her band Plush is received as a critical and commercial disaster. She finds new hope and friendship in the replacement guitarist (Xavier Samuel) who inspires her to reach new creative heights. But soon their collaboration crosses the line sexually and Hayley, who is married with two children, retreats from his advances. As she slowly discovers his dark and troubled history, she realizes she may have let a madman into her home and family and that her mistake may cost the lives of people closest to her. Also part of the cast are Cam Gigandet, Frances Fisher and Thomas Dekker.
