First trailer of the "re-imagination" of the musical that will be in theatres next Christmas. It's about Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis), a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). But everything's about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) - advised by his brilliant VP (Rose Byrne) and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor (Bobby Cannavale) - makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around. Directed by Will Gluck (Friends with Benefits, Easy A). Also notable, Jay-Z and Mr. and Mrs. Smith are among the producers and Emma Thompson has a screenplay credit.
Looks like a winning combination.

First full trailer for the fourth instalment of the franchise, once again directed by auteur Michael Bay. The male lead this time will be played by Mark Wahlberg, and Bay's new favourite female object is Nicola Peltz. Much to everyone's dismay, there seems to still be no detailed plot summary. And we all know, it's all about the plot. But IMDb says that a mechanic (Wahlberg) and his daughter (Peltz) make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them. I've also read that there will be Grimlock and the Dinobots. Gasp! Also part of the cast are Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Titus Welliver.
Will this one be finally three hours long? Gosh, I hope so.

Another nice teaser for the next animated movie from Laika Studios (Coraline, ParaNorman) based on Alan Snow's novel "Here Be Monsters!". It tells the tale of the Boxtrolls, monsters who live underneath the charming streets of Cheesebridge, who crawl out of the sewers at night to steal what the townspeople hold most dear: their children and their cheeses. At least, that's the legend the townspeople have always believed. In truth, the Boxtrolls are a community of lovable oddballs who are raising as one of their own an abandoned and orphaned human boy named Eggs. When the Boxtrolls are targeted by a villainous exterminator who is bent on eradicating them, Eggs must venture aboveground to save them, where he teams with an adventurous young girl to save not only the Boxtrolls but the soul of Cheesebridge. Voices will be provided by Ben Kingsley, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Elle Fanning, Jared Harris, Toni Collette, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade, Tracy Morgan and Simon Pegg.

Looks maybe a little too twee. But with a running time of 73 minutes it doesn't take long to watch.

Arguably the best thing about the second Machete movie, the trailer for another possible instalment where everything will be galactic and shit. I hesitate to call it a fake trailer since we all know how that turned out when Machete made his first appearance.
