A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis) is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. No one from the main "human" cast return, instead there will be Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Judy Greer. Reminds me that it feels like pretty much all major decisions on this planet are already made by people that could just as well be apes. You can choose between the US and the so-called international cut of the trailer.

It is based on a French graphic novel which is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews. Remarkable cast consists of Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Song Kangho, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Alison Pill and John Hurt.
From what I've read, the Weinstein's backed down and the movie will reach US theatres in its uncut form. Movie is certainly worth watching, though I left the theatre thinking it could've been a better one.

Radha Mitchell, Roschdy Zem and Mathieu Amalric are also part of the cast. Directed by Pascale Ferran (Lady Chatterley).
Unclear what kind of movie this will turn out to be. But the trailer looks interesting. Film will premiere in the "Un Certain Regard" section in Cannes.

One day, as he is conducting a study of audio frequencies, he discovers that they can be used to control the human mind through hypnosis. After first experimenting on himself, he moves on to his neighbors, keeping them in the dark about what he’s doing. The results are amazing. But soon, his desire for power and revenge take over and the modern-day demiurge steadily loses control of the situation. The consequences are as dramatic as they are bizarre.
Looks and sounds like fun.

Family friendly Disney comedy (pleonasm, I know) based on a children's book that follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life - a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when he tells his upbeat family (Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner) about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. Jennifer Coolidge, Bella Thorne and Donald Glover are also part of the cast. Directed by Miguel Arteta (Cedar Rapids, Youth in Revolt).
I guess we won't get a redband trailer for this one. At least in the running to become movie with the longest title this year.
