The Humbling     HD720p 30MB
Once a universally acclaimed thespian, the now-sexagenarian Simon has fallen from grace - literally. After swan-diving into the orchestra pit in the middle of a performance, he slides into an intense depression, and quite possibly dementia, leading to a spell in a psychiatric facility. Upon his release he retreats to the woods to live a quiet life until the daughter (Greta Gerwig) of his closest friend shows up at his house. The relationship takes unusual turns as people from their past surface and chaos ensues. Nina Arianda, Dylan Baker, Dianne Wiest and Charles Grodin are also part of the cast. Directed by Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Bugsy, Wag the Dog).
They have been rare in recent years, but looks like one of the more interesting movies with Pacino.

Escobar: Paradise Lost     HD720p 27MB
Trailer from France for this thriller based on a true story that unfolds during the final years of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar's reign. It is told from the perspective of Nick (Josh Hutcherson), an innocent surfer from Canada who, together with his brother (Brady Corbet), sets up a modest surfing retreat near Medellin, where he meets the woman of his dreams, who is busy campaigning for her politician uncle. That uncle turns out to be Pablo (Benicio del Toro), who invites Nick to a party at his "cottage," a sprawling, Xanadu-like jungle fortress. When he hears of the trouble Nick and Dylan are having with some local thugs, Pablo vows to "take care of it."
I really don't know about Hutcherson, but del Toro is hard to resist.

Trash     HD720p 30MB
Thriller drama about two trash-picking boys from Rio's slums who find a wallet in amongst the daily detritus of their local dump. Little do they imagine that their lives are about to change forever. But when the local police show up, offering a handsome reward for the wallet's return, the boys realise that what they've found must be important. Teaming up with a friend, the trio begins an extraordinary adventure as they try to hang onto the wallet. Along the way, the boys will have to figure out friend from foe, as they piece together the story of the wallet's owner (Wagner Moura) and realise they can't trust the police. But a pair of American missionaries (Martin Sheen, Rooney Mara) working in their favela might just have the power to knock on the right doors. Directed by Stephen Daldry (Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Billy Elliot, The Hours), Richard Curtis worked on the screenplay.
Hard not to think of it as a Latin American set sequel to Slumdog Millionaire.

You're Not You     HD720p 33MB
Feel-good drama that tells the story of Kate (Hilary Swank), an accomplished woman in her 30s whose perfectly-ordered life is suddenly upended when she is diagnosed with the devastating and incurable disease ALS. Kate and her husband (Josh Duhamel) must find a full time caregiver to help, and so they meet college student Bec (Emmy Rossum), who has impulsively answered their ad despite her complete lack of experience. Bec is chaos in motion - unable to commit to school, her relationships or her plans for the future. But Kate sees something special in Bec and hires her. Directed by George C. Wolfe (Nights in Rodanthe).
If you want to know what a version of the French movie The Intouchables looks like if it were made by Hollywood.

A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence - En duva satt på en gren och funderade på tillvaron     HD720p 8MB
The (pleasant) surprise winner of this year's Golden Lion in Venice directed by Roy Andersson (Songs from the Second Floor, You, the Living), the third move in his trilogy about being a human being (it always takes him seven years to finance and make the next movie). It's a comedic drama, the official summary reads: Like modern times’ Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, Sam and Jonathan, two travelling salesmen peddling novelty items, take us on a kaleidoscopic wandering through human destinies. A trip that shows us the beauty of single moments, the pettiness of others, the humour and tragedy that is in us, life's grandeur as well as frailty of humanity.
But that obviously tells you not very much. If you haven't seen any of his previous movies, it's probably best to do yourself a favour and at least watch the trailer in order to get a feeling for Andersson's movies. He's probably best known for his award-winning commercials, made in similar style as his movies, which I think he is mainly making to finance his movies.
