5 to 7     HD720p 24MB
Romantic drama with some humour in which outside the Manhattan St. Regis Hotel, aspiring young writer Brian (Anton Yelchin) first meets Arielle (Bérénice Marlohe), the sophisticated wife of a French Diplomat (Lambert Wilson). Though she's older, married, and the mother of two, he can’t help but be drawn to her and the two begin a cinq-a-sept affair. It's a clash with his traditional values and his parents (Frank Langella, Glenn Close) can barely handle the news, but Brian couldn’t be more smitten. As the two fall deeper in love, he begins to wish for more than just the hours of five to seven and soon the two must face the most significant decision of their lives. Olivia Thirlby plays the diplomat's mistress.
This looks nice.

Kidnapping Mr. Heineken     HD720p 37MB
US trailer for this (now slightly renamed) action thriller that tells the inside story of the planning, execution, rousing aftermath and ultimate downfall of the kidnappers (Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess, Ryan Kwanten) of beer tycoon Alfred "Freddy" Heineken (Anthony Hopkins), which resulted in the largest ransom ever paid for an individual. Directed by Daniel Alfredson who directed the second and third movie of the original Millenium trilogy.

The Hunting Ground     HD720p 79MB
In a tour de force of verité footage, expert insights, and first-person testimonies, this documentary follows undergraduate rape survivors pursuing both their education and justice, despite ongoing harassment and the devastating toll on them and their families. Scrutinizing the gamut of elite Ivies, state universities, and small colleges, it reveals an endemic system of institutional cover-ups, rationalizations, victim-blaming, and denial that creates perfect storm conditions for predators to prey with impunity. Directed by Kirby Dick who already made an Oscar nominated documentary about the same despicable behaviour in the US military (The Invisible War, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Outrage).
An article about the movie and its recent Sundance premiere.

Timbuktu     US HD720p 17MB   Germany HD720p 17MB
Very timely, and by now Oscar nominated drama from Mauritania. Timbuktu is silent, the doors closed, the streets empty. No more music, no tea, no cigarettes, no bright colors, no laughs. The women have become shadows. The religious fundamentalists are spreading terror in the region. In the dunes, away from the chaos, Kidane enjoys a quiet life with his wife Satima, his daughter Toya and Issan, his little shepherd. But his peace is short-lived. After accidentally killing Amadou, a fisherman who stroke down his favorite cow, Kidane must face the law of the new foreign rulers determined to defeat an open and tolerant Islam.
You can choose between the equally dialogue-free trailer versions from the US and Germany. Also, a recent article about the movie and its director Abderrahmane Sissako (Bamako).

Nobody Wants the Night     HD720p 18MB
Trailer from Spain for the latest drama directed by Isabel Coixet (Elegy, The Secret Life of Words, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo) that will be the opening film of next month's Berlinale. Greenland, 1909. Josephine Peary (Juliette Binoche) is a mature, proud, determined and naive woman, in love with celebrated Arctic adventurer Robert Peary, a man who prefers glory and ice to the comforts of an upper-class home. For him she will face all danger, even risk her own life. Another woman, young but wise, brave and humble – Allaka (Rinko Kikuchi) – is in love with the same man, and expecting his child. The relentless icy landscape both separates and draws these two women together during the long, tense wait for the man they both love in such different ways. Gabriel Byrne is also part of the cast.
Interesting, but looks a lot like a "very serious festival movie".
