Secret in Their Eyes HD720p 51MB
Thriller about a tight-knit team of FBI investigators (Chiwetel Ejiofor, Julia Roberts), that along with their District Attorney supervisor (Nicole Kidman), is suddenly torn apart when they discover that one of their own teenage daughters has been brutally murdered. Now, thirteen years later, after obsessively searching every day for the elusive killer, they finally uncover a new lead that they are certain can permanently resolve the case, nail the vicious murderer, and bring long-desired closure to his team. No one is prepared, however, for the shocking, unspeakable secret that will reveal the enduring, destructive effects of personal vengeance on the human soul. Directed by Billy Ray (Breach, Shattered Glass).
This is kind of a remake of the 2010 Best Foreign Language Oscar winner from Argentina. But I'm not sure how much this movie will really have in common with the Argentinian movie.
Creed HD720p 131MB
Sports drama that re-unites Michael B. Jordan with Ryan Coogler, the director of Fruitvale Station. Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there's no denying that boxing is in his blood, so he heads to Philadelphia, the site of Creed's legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, he tracks Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer. Despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good, Rocky sees in Adonis the strength and determination he had known in Apollo - the fierce rival who became his closest friend.
Another franchise that refuses to die. But at least the choices of director and lead actor gives it an interesting direction.
Samba HD720p 31MB
US trailer for this romantic, comedic, social drama, the new movie directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, the French duo that was responsible for the huge European success The Intouchables. It's about a recent migrant to France (Omar Sy). Washing dishes in the back kitchen of a fancy hotel is hardly his European dream, but it gets worse when a bureaucratic slip-up lands him in detention. There he meets an immigration worker (Charlotte Gainsbourg) new to the job and unused to the hard realities of life on France's bottom rung. When he is released but slapped with an order to leave France, she begins to let her professional role bleed into her personal life. Tahar Rahim is also part of the cast.
The mixture of social drama and lighter moments is a bit difficult at first. It takes a while to adjust. But there are a lot of very nice scenes between Sy and Gainsbourg. If you can deal with the mixed tone, it's overall still a very nice watch.
45 Years HD720p 33MB
UK trailer for this intimate drama about a woman (Charlotte Rampling) who is is planning a party to celebrate her 45th wedding anniversary. One week before the celebration, however, a letter arrives for her husband (Tom Courtenay), containing news that reawakens troubling and long-hidden memories. Though she continues to prepare for the anniversary, she becomes increasingly concerned by his preoccupation with the letter and the ensuing revelations about his past. By the time the party comes round, there may not be a marriage left to celebrate.
Rampling and Courtenay shared the Best Actor Award this year in Berlin where the movie was very well received.
Daddy's Home HD720p 48MB
Family comedy to be in theatres at Christmas that follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Will Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife's (Linda Cardellini) two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Mark Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. Co-directed by Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2, That's My Boy).
Wahlberg increasingly loses my goodwill.
