A Bigger Splash HD720p 19MB
Teaser trailer from the UK for this relationship drama/thriller that is loosely based on the 1969 movie La piscine that starred Alain Delon and Romy Schneider. Rock legend Marianne Lane (Tilda Swinton) is recuperating on the volcanic island of Pantelleria with her partner (Matthias Schoenaerts) when iconoclast record producer and old flame Harry (Ralph Fiennes) unexpectedly arrives with his daughter (Dakota Johnson) and interrupts their holiday, bringing with him an A-bomb blast of delirious nostalgia from which there can be no rescue. Movie re-unites Swinton with director Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love).
Very difficult to resist Fiennes and Swinton.
The Revenant HD720p 50MB HD1080p 98MB
Another intense trailer for the latest movie directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu (Babel, Birdman, 21 Grams). It tells the story of one man's epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, he endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, he must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter, Lukas Haas and Paul Anderson are also part of the cast. Cinematography by two-time Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki (Gravity, Birdman, The New World), aiming for a hat-trick.
I could do without all the "inspired by true events" nonsense, but this looks very fascinating.
Heist - Bus 657 HD720p 44MB
When their attempt to rob a casino owned by the feared gangster Pope (Robert De Niro) goes awry and a shootout ensues, Vaughn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Cox (Dave Bautista) are forced to flee on foot and hijack city Bus 657 and take the passengers hostage. Now, in a high speed chase, Vaughn will not only have to outwit the police, led by Officer Bajos (Gina Carano) who are in hot pursuit, but he will have to contend with Pope's maniacal right hand man (Morris Chestnut), in order to make it through the day alive.
Former Oscar winner notwithstanding, I think we can call it a B-movie.
Bone Tomahawk HD720p 34MB
Gritty western in which a stranger (David Arquette) rolls into a tiny Western town, immediately drawing the suspicions of the backup deputy (Richard Jenkins). He alerts the town's sheriff (Kurt Russell) and in an ensuing scuffle, the stranger is wounded and put in jail. Summoned to tend to the wounded man is Samantha O’Dwyer (Lili Simmons), whose husband (Patrick Wilson) is laid out at home with a broken leg. Sometime in the night, a local stable boy is torn to pieces, horses are stolen and Samantha and the stranger disappear. The only clue left behind is a rather peculiar looking arrow, a weapon their local Indian expert identifies as belonging to tribe of cannibalistic troglodytes. Having no alternative but to face these cave-dwelling abominations, the three men and a dashing, highly educated gentleman (Matthew Fox) head out on a rescue mission.
Angry Birds HD720p 48MB
First trailer for this animated comedy in which we'll finally find out why the birds are so angry. The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to. Further voices will be provided by Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage and Keegan-Michael Key.
Of course, I'm suitably outraged that they're now making a movie based on a smartphone game app. Which also collects information about your sexual orientation and sends data to the NSA. But having watched the trailer, it doesn't look any worse than your average Dreamworks Animation movie. No word yet if they'll collect a fingerprint or two when you want to see the movie at the theatre.
