So far looks pleasantly weird. Will start streaming on Netflix starting December 30th.

The film focuses on 16-year-old aspiring filmmaker Sammy Fabelman (Gabriel LaBelle). Michelle Williams plays his artistic mother Mitzi, Paul Dano his successful, scientific father Burt. Their family is rounded out by Mitzi’s Uncle Boris (Judd Hirsch) and the loveable co-worker Benny (Seth Rogen), who becomes an uncle to Sammy and his sisters, always along for the ride with the Fabelmans.
Was very well received in Toronto, and the Academy will surely not pass up the opportunity to promote yet another movie about the movies.

Financially destitute and utterly greedy, Rollo sees his daughter as his path out of financial ruin by marrying her off to a wealthy man for money and land. But Birdy, like all the great teen heroines, is spirited, clever, and adventurous and ready to put off any suitor that comes calling in increasingly ingenious ways. Joe Alwyn, Dean-Charles Chapman, Sophie Okonedo and Russell Brand are also part of the cast.
Looks quite fun, not at least thanks to its cast. Already in limited release in the US, will start streaming on Amazon Prime October 7th.
