Enola Holmes 2     HD720p 24MB
Trailer for the sequel. Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock (Henry Cavill) himself — to unravel. Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Adeel Akhtar and Susan Wokoma also return. David Thewlis is a new cast addition. Again directed by Harry Bradbeer.
I'm looking forward to it. Will start streaming on Netflix November 4th.

The Estate     HD720p 96MB
Dark comedy about two sisters (Toni Collette, Anna Faris) who don't have much, but they’ve got the perfect plan. With a ramshackle café teetertottering on the brink of extinction and their lives going nowhere fast, the two sisters conspire to win over their terminally ill Aunt Hilda (Kathleen Turner) - the family’s overbearing, curmudgeonly matriarch - in the hopes of becoming the beneficiaries of her vast estate. But as the two soon discover, there may be other relatives (David Duchovny, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingston) who have the exact same idea.
It's not subtle, but may still be funny.

Tár     HD720p 98MB
Full trailer for the first movie written and directed by Todd Field (In the Bedroom, Little Children) in fifteen years. It's an intense drama set in the international world of classical music, the film centers on Lydia Tár (Cate Blanchett), widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra. Nina Hoss and Noémie Merlant are also part of the cast.
Still looks a bit overwhelming. Was very well received in Venice.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile     Tlr1 HD720p 74MB    Tlr2 HD720p 95MB
Family musical comedy based on the book series by Bernard Waber. When the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley) moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle - a singing crocodile (Shawn Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle’s existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps (Brett Gelman), the Primm’s must band together with Lyle’s charismatic owner (Javier Bardem), to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there’s nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with an even bigger personality. Directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck (Blades of Glory, Office Christmas Party, The Switch).
Seems to prove that Bardem can play anything. Two trailers to choose from.

Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths     HD1080p 42MB
Trailer for the latest drama directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Babel, Birdman, 21 Grams). Official description says that it's about the intimate and moving journey of Silverio (Daniel Giménez Cacho), a renowned Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker living in Los Angeles, who, after being named the recipient of a prestigious international award, is compelled to return to his native country, unaware that this simple trip will push him to an existential limit. The folly of his memories and fears have decided to pierce through the present, filling his everyday life with a sense of bewilderment and wonder. With both emotion and abundant laughter, he grapples with universal yet intimate questions about identity, success, mortality, the history of Mexico and the deeply emotional familial bonds he shares with his wife and children.
The summary, the title, the trailer and festival reviews confirm that this is all a bit pretentious and all about Iñárritu himself. And after many very mixed reviews thought that the running time is too long, he cut 22 minutes. It's still 152 minutes long. But it does look visually interesting. Will start streaming on Netflix December 16th.
