They took their time, but here's finally a first, action-packed trailer for the reboot of another popular franchise to be in theatres next May. Set in post-apocalyptic world in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max (Tom Hardy), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland. Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Jones, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are also part of the cast.
Directed by George Miller (Happy Feet, Happy Feet 2, Babe: Pig in the City), director of the first three movies, who, after making a couple of family-friendly movies, apparently wanted to return to his roots.

First, sombre trailer for the final Hobbit movie that brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch), the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo's frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain.
Surprised they didn't split the final part into two movies, as it is so popular these days. Oh, wait ...

We find Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, she spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. Like the second movie, again directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I Am Legend).
A bit painful to see Philip Seymour Hoffman.
