Small Apartments 720p 29MB
Absurd crime comedy about a young man (Matt Lucas) who is trapped in a seedy LA apartment who has a dead landlord on the kitchen floor and is surrounded by eccentric neighbours: the stoner (Johnny Knoxville) and girlfriend (Rebel Wilson), the wanna-be stripper (Juno Temple) and the artist (James Caan). To add to his chaos, a drunk investigator (Billy Crystal) is questioning him about his landlord. But none of this fazes him. He dreams of Switzerland, and waits each day for an envelope from his institutionalized brother (James Marsden). Then, one day the envelope doesn't come and he becomes unhinged. There's also Dolph Lundgren, David Koechner, Peter Stormare and Saffron Burrows. What more can you ask for?
It's directed by Jonas Åkerlund so it's not a complete surprise that the movie looks a bit like his previous movie Spun. Judging from festival reviews the movie suffers from too many characters, but it should still be fun to watch.
Grabbers 400p 20MB
Amusing horror comedy (with a big heart) from Ireland that tells the story of Ciarán O'Shea (Richard Coyle), a charming but heavy-drinking local Garda who is tasked with greeting a straight-laced young officer (Ruth Bradley) who has just arrived to a small fishing village off the West coast of Ireland. Not that there's much for them to do, aside from dealing with the occasional drunk, and that's usually O'Shea himself. But strange doings are afoot: the crew of a fishing boat disappears, whales start appearing dead on the shore, a local lobsterman catches a strange tentacled creature in his trap. Soon it becomes clear to the two that there's something big out there, and that it's hungry. It's time to rally the villagers, arm the troops...and head to the pub!
If you don't expect too much, a fun little movie.

Indie relationship drama with some humour about best friends Nick (Alex Karpovsky) and Darryl (Tarik Lowe) who are a New York film editing duo hired to salvage a botched comedy from a manic director (Kevin Corrigan) gone AWOL. But what starts as a simple job quickly sends their relationships—with their significant others and each other—reeling. Amidst trouble with his fiancée (Sophia Takal), Nick finds himself falling for the film's flirtatious ingénue (Arielle Kebbel); Darryl, meanwhile, struggles to focus on his editing work in between fights with his tempestuous girlfriend (Melonie Diaz).
Festival reviews are quite good.
To the Wonder 720p 28MB
Different trailer version from France for which predominantly Olga Kurylenko provides the voice-over (in French). Romantic drama written and directed by Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, The New World, The Thin Red Line) about a Midwesterner (Ben Affleck) who meets a woman (Kurylenko) in Paris. After visiting Mont Saint-Michel - once known in France as "the Wonder" - at the height of their love, she returns with him to Oklahoma to be his wife. But the relationship soon falters. He finds himself drifting towards a childhood love (Rachel McAdams), she makes the acquaintance of a priest and fellow exile (Javier Bardem), who is struggling with his vocation.
As usual, Malick's movies aren't for everyone but Kurylenko alone may make it worthwhile.
