Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens     HD720p 53MB   HD1080p
The first, early teaser for the franchise reboot, to be in theatres next Christmas. It is said to be set 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi". Among the new cast members are John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. From previous instalments Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker will return. Directed by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Super 8, Mission: Impossible III).
I believe the first title suggestions for further sequels are already circulating. If you would like to get acquainted with John Boyega I recommend watching Attack the Block.

Match     HD720p 21MB
Drama about a Seattle couple (Carla Gugino, Matthew Lillard) that travels to New York to interview former dancer Tobi (Patrick Stewart) for research on a dissertation about the dance landscape of 1960s New York City. Now a beloved but somewhat hermitic ballet instructor, Tobi eventually warms to the strangers sitting in his Inwood apartment, regaling them with wild anecdotes from his colorful past. But when the line of questioning veers away from his career and becomes uncomfortably personal, the true motive behind the couple's visit begins to emerge. Based on a play by Stephen Belber who now also directed the movie.
We see Stewart far too rarely outside those comic book movies.

Cake     HD720p 44MB
Drama with some comedic elements a woman in a chronic-pain support group (Jennifer Aniston), who, while struggling with her own trauma, begins to investigate the suicide of a fellow group member (Anna Kendrick) and develops an unexpected relationship with the woman's husband (Sam Worthington). Husband and wife William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, Adriana Barraza, Chris Messina and Lucy Punch are also part of the cast. Directed by Daniel Barnz (Won't Back Down, Phoebe in Wonderland, Beastly).
A rare non-comedic performance by Aniston that has critics not entirely convinced, but it's surely a change of pace for her.

Unfinished Business     Redband HD720p 44MB
Redband trailer for this comedy about a hard-working small business owner (Vince Vaughn) and his two associates (Tom Wilkinson, Dave Franco) who travel to Europe to close the most important deal of their lives. But what began as a routine business trip goes off the rails in every imaginable – and unimaginable – way, including unplanned stops at a massive sex fetish event and a global economic summit. Sienna Miller, James Marsden and Nick Frost are also part of the cast. Directed by Ken Scott (Delivery Man).
Usually in the trailers for those R-rated comedies there's at least one or two scenes that make me smile, but here: nada. It's all very, very awkward. That I subsidised this as a German taxpayer probably also plays a role. For science!, you can also watch pretty much the same trailer sanitised to be a greenband version: Greenband HD720p 55MB.

2001: A Space Odyssey     HD720p 30MB
Starting this weekend there will be a re-release of Stanley Kubrick's legendary movie/trip in cinemas all over the UK. So if you're living in that part of the world, and you are interested in movies, no matter if you "understand" the movie or not (nobody does), I recommend thinking about attending a screening so that you can cross it out on your (movie) bucket list. And keep in mind that the movie by now is almost 50 years old.
